Evil Eye! Sure is funny!

My Job Style

I took a test online to see what kind of jobs I would like...this pretty much hits me on the head!

People with yellow Interests like job responsibilities that include organizing and systematizing, and professions that are detail-oriented, predictable, and objective. People with yellow Interests enjoy activities that include: ordering, numbering, scheduling, systematizing, preserving, maintaining, measuring, specifying details, and archiving, which often lead to work in research, banking, accounting, systems analysis, tax law, finance, government work, and engineering.

People with blue styles prefer to perform their job responsibilities in a manner that is supportive and helpful to others with a minimum of confrontation. They prefer to work where they have time to think things through before acting. People with blue style tend to be insightful, reflective, selectively sociable, creative, thoughtful, emotional, imaginative, and sensitive. Usually they thrive in a cutting edge, informally paced, future-oriented environment. You will want to choose a work environment or career path in which your style is welcomed and produces results.

I have said this before!

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone die, who you didn't know, leave you some money? I have said this on more than one occasion. I certainly don't want to wish bad luck on anyone but this would be a fantastic surprise!

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - For nearly seven years Melina Salazar did her best to put on a smile and tend to the every need of her most loyal and cantankerous customer.

She made sure his food was as hot as he wanted, even if it meant he burned his mouth. And she smiled through his demands and curses. The 89-year-old Walter "Buck" Swords obviously appreciated it, leaving the waitress $50,000 and a 2000 Buick when he died.

"I still can't believe it," the Luby's cafeteria employee told Harlingen television station KGBT-TV in an interview during which she described Swords as "kind of mean."

Swords, a World War II veteran, died in July. But Salazar learned just a few days before Christmas that he had left her the money and car.

Friday, AT LAST

There are a couple of things, which makes this day, Friday, a bad thing.

1.  I had to get up and go to work.
2. Owner is in today.

I can't think of any other reasons.

Let me tell you why the owner gets on my last nerves...other than I am treated like 2nd class...one of our techs got a "new" used car.  It is not that great of a car, there is a very large dent on the side but neverless, this is a step up for the tech.  He came in SO EXCITED about the car.  Was telling me all about the leather seats and all the goodies the car came with.  I, of course, was excited for him....you could see how excited he was, so how could you not be?  The owner comes in and asked where tech is and I told him he was here and that he got a new car and how excited he was about having it... (thus the reason why he didn't see his car in the lot) and then the owner said..."I was wondering who's piece of trash that was.."

I need to say nothing more....hurts my heart.

Quote of the day! I love this one too!

"Each of us is here to discover our true selves; that essentially we are spiritual beings who have taken manifestation in physical form; that we're not human beings that have occasional spiritual experiences, that we're spiritual beings that have occasional human experiences."

- Deepak Chopra

Re-Gifting

I had a very good Christmas, however I read 83% of American adults receive unwanted gifts during the holiday season. This can't be just the casual-acquaintance category of gifts--it has to include gifts from loved ones too. This means that most people are potential re-gifters or resellers. Do you think the gift you gave could end up being re-gifted? The survey said that nearly half of those adults (47%) typically re-gift or resell items.

I want to know....did you get anything this year you don't care for? Or did you get a gift, which you don't think the person put any effort into?

Are you planning on re-gifting or re-selling the item(s)?

Merry Christmas and Many Blessings

Hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed day. When I sit back and look at my many blessings, I find I have so many to even count. What a wonderful thing to have to much of!

Here is a picture of my Maggie girl I took this morning. She is getting so big and becomes more beautiful to me every day. Looking at this picture really makes me take a priorty check. I so am thankful to have such a wonderful niece and wonderful family!!!

Monday Early Morning

I woke up around 3 am this morning so I decided to get up and watch a little TV. I was very rested and felt great. I went downstairs and put in a movie, which I have been wanting to watch for over a year now (The Holiday). I watched about half of it and dozed off. When I woke up it was 9:30ish. Maggie said something to me. I had fallen asleep sitting up on the couch. Funny part was my dream....

I had dreamed that I lived in a house, something like a sorority house, with many different people and I had a very bad habit. A habit, which everyone overlooked but me. I made a short puffing sound of air out of my mouth (something like a raspberry sound) and it was a bad habit, which I did uncontrollable and all the darn time! I know I was trying to stop but it was very difficult and I was losing the battle. Very FUNNY! When I told SIL about my dream we both laughed and laughed. Every now and then I will make the sound...we laugh again.

Hope you had a great night and crazy dreams to share too!

Homemade Christmas

Each year, this being the 2nd year, my 3 girl friends and I make homemade gifts and then exchange them. This year we went to Carrabba's Italian Restaurant and had a nice dinner and exchanged presents with each other. This is all the goodies I got this year! Some of the items in the picture...a calendar, box of homemade cards to use, chocolate, a collage, homemade cookies, homemade fudge, a receipe holder with favorite cookie receipes (and a few others) and cookie scoops. I gave each friend a stained glass piece made my myself, home made beef stew (made by my mother) and a little box ornament. It was a fun evening!

LOVE THIS THOUGHT!

It's not just that when one door closes, another door opens.

When one door closes, choirs burst into chorus, orchestras orchestrate, bugles bugle, marching bands march, dogs catch Frisbees, cats 'chow, chow, chow,' pigs fly, and 10,000 new doors open.

Kind of makes you want a door to close, huh?

Tired of Monday's

Okay, not so much tired of them, it is I am just tired and it is Monday.

I am still not well but I would say 70% better. The drink just makes the bloody cold go away! I am still coughing and have bronchitis. How do I know? I have had it in the past and it feels the same. I took a breathing treatment last night and slept like Sleeping Beauty and just now took another one. I am almost out of the Aburterol and this makes me sad. I only use it when I desperately need it but the cost is out of this world. On top of that, no new Rx. This means I will have to go see MD again...another $300-440 gone. I know if you don't have your health you have nothing...just makes me mad since it is the same problem and I know I will sit in waiting room for 2 hours, be in the room for 40 minutes and 5 minutes later will walk out with the same Rx as before. Frustrating! I would buy it online if I could...I swear I would.

The picture I have uploaded is a stained glass piece I made last weekend. The soldering isn't great but it looks pretty if you are arms distances away...or...don't touch it!

Just finished another one

Had another drink just now before bed...and starting to sweat so this will be short. I just wanted to upload a couple pictures so here they are! My nice made these items in her craft class. I just think they are a hoot and had to share them!!!!

Sunday Morning Update

I am really excited for several reasons. The most important reason is that I had a decent sleep last night. Although I still am not well, I did get some rest. I believe the rest had to do with the drink I fixed myself last night. I have found if I drink this when I have a cold, the cold gets better. I guess the alcohol kills the germs. I wonder if alcoholics ever get colds? Okay well, here is what I fix when I get a cold. I fill a cup about 3/4 the way up with tea and heat it to the point of boiling point. You want to have the drink as hot as you can possibly drink it! Then after it is hot, you put a teaspoon of honey, squeeze some lemon (I LIKE A LOT OF LEMON!...(it kills the taste of the alcohol for me!) then I put AT LEAST a shot of whiskey. We have been using Southern Comfort. The first time I bought a bottle...what 2 years ago?....it was the cheapest whiskey I could find so that is what we have stuck with! I drink the drink as quickly as I can. Then wrap myself up in a blanket and sweat it out!!!!! By the morning, you will fill a difference! Normally 1 or 2 nights of this and I am completely well. I hope you don't have to use the recipe but there it is in case you do!

Next reason I am excited is I found a cable so I can now download my pictures from my camera! I haven't been able to do this for awhile but my brother said the same one for my phone can be used for my camera. Who knew? I am going to be uploading many pictures today. The first being a picture of my favorite gal, which is another reason why I am excited...she has let me take pictures of her again...it has been YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black Tuesday and other tales

The alarm went off this morning and I decided to hit the snooze button.  At the time I should be leaving is when I woke up again.  I guess I didn't hit the right button...ya think?  So I jumped in the shower and washed off like I was running for a medal in the Olympics.  I sure wished at this point I would have washed my hair even if it meant I had to come in with it wet.  It feels awful!  My car is on total EMPTY and I didn't have time to stop and get gas.  I came in on fumes.  I hope my car will start when I leave tonight.  I should have stopped for gas.  I didn't know what I was going to wear today so I threw on some clothes....black sweats and sweatshirt and black boots.  This is one of good things I can say about my job.  I can wear this kind of clothes!

I was so tired last evening!  I worked and worked on a stained glass project and ended up hanging it up when I was done.  It looks beautiful from a distance but don't look to close!  I am still learning how to use the soldering iron and so it not very pretty up close.  I am telling you the truth when I say, the joints are not pretty.  The pattern is pretty though.  It was a pattern, which Maggie started.  She was playing with the pieces and I thought what she came up with was pretty.  My brother and I played with the pieces some more and came up with the design.  I sure wish I could post a picture but I don't know how do it with my camera phone.  Maybe I could later....

I think I have finished buying for Christmas.  I have to count to see how many "little" gifts I have for Maggie.  I put a stocking on her door handle and each morning she gets up to find a small stocking gift from me.  For example, yesterday was soap and it looked like a duck.  She loves animals and loves to play in the bathtub so I figured she would love the duck soap.  This morning I put a pair of socks in the stocking.  They have the words Hugs and Kisses and XOXO stitched on them.  I think she will love them.  Anyway, I am going to be putting a little something in each morning until the 25Th.  I may have to throw in a pack of gum or something if I don't have enough little goodies to put in.  I hope when she is grown, she will remember these little things I did for her.  I remember the little things when I was little and this is what is carried with you for a lifetime.

Hope everyone is having a better morning than what I had today!

Breakfast

A couple weeks ago I stopped at Chick-fil-A and the owner came in and went "ARGH!!  That is my favorite place!  I would eat there 5 out of the 7 nights if I there was one close to me...how could you bring that in this office because I LOVE IT?  I love sweet tea!!"  On and on he went!

Well, this morning I stopped by Chick-fil-A and bought him a large sweet tea and some chick-n-mini's.

Also, owner's brother almost went nuts that I didn't bring him in any....He kept pretending to pick up the tea.  He also sat at my desk and picked up the sack twice.  I told him the story about me bringing it in a few weeks ago and so what did he do?  He said exactly the same thing right back to me!  Just like a parrot.

Oh boy.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

DON'T I WISH!  I am still at work!  Just finished eating my peanut butter sandwich (and it was pretty darn good) and I am SO TIRED!  I would love to lay down for just a bit...it just isn't going to happen...now, if I were at home...that would be another story!

My mouth and tongue are going through some tough times the last couple days.  I ate something rough and the top of my mouth is sore.  I also burnt the heck out of my tongue (I can actually see the difference in colors)!  I couldn't remember what it was I burnt my tongue on until today I decided I wanted some hot chocolate....oh yes, HOT BOILING HOT BURN my tongue chocolate.  That reminded me and I decided against it.

Instead, I think I will try a nap....`

All I Want

is to go back to BED!

I am very tired this afternoon.  The sun is shinning in my office and looks warm and inviting...we all know this can't be true...never less, I want to take my blue blanket, which my friend Laurie gave me last year and lay down on the floor with it and take a quick nap!  Unfortunately, my work will not be done if I surrendered to this thought!

Hope everyone got where they needed to go today after all the snow we got last night!  It took me 35 extra minutes to get to work.  Speaking of snow, I don't know why it is, it seems anytime I do something extra to my hair, it is a day, which the snow and rain will destroy or the wind will blow it down.  I hope one day I can actually have my hair look half way decent and make it out the door to my destination before it looks like a rats nest!

I guess we all have our dreams.

Feel Better Now?

No...not really.  I went out for my lunch to get some air and cried.  I read just because I don't know what path I am on or think maybe the path I am on is wrong, I am not supposed to judge it.  I am supposed to know I am headed exactly where I am supposed to be going.  This means even if I am encounter detours, hairpin turns or passing cars with noses and whatnot pressed to the windows I am to know, I am headed in the right direction and I am supposed to be getting closer to what I am supposed to be doing every flippin' day.

Road trip?  I don't want to take any more road trips!

I want to park the car and enjoy the scenic view.

Depressing

I just figured up commission for the techs.  2 of them are going to be devastated again with the little amount they are bringing home, especially since the work so many hours a week.

I figured up how much the company would have to bring in each month in order for me to get the amount of money, which I the ad stated....$83,000.00 a month.  That is just to get me in the middle of the amount of which I was told I would be paid.  I get a salary plus commission.  The ad I answered said I would be paid between $32-36K a year.  In order to get in between this amount, the company would have to bring in $83,000.00 a month.  A "good" estimate as to what the company is bringing in....$30,000.00 a month.    That is a long way from the $$....

Freezing

If I think it is cold, then it is COLD!

The dial in the office reads 70 degrees.  I have a shaw on my shoulders and a blanket on my lap.  I have boots with insulation but my toes are frozen!  If I think it is cold, then it is COLD because I like it cool.

Not So Quick On The Punch Lines

One of the techs brought in pictures of his kids.  The owner was at my desk and said, "Are these pictures of your niece and nephews"?

I said, "No..............my niece is much cuter than that!"

"What"?  he said....

My response..."It just isn't funny if I have to explain my joke more than once...."

His Grace Without Humor

Whenever the techs start their trucks, which has to be done in the warehouse, the office gets fumed out.  Normally we have to open the front door for a few minutes to air the office out.  Today I said, "Oh my God!" and the owner said "What?" So I joked and said, "So you answer to the name of God now?"....he didn't get it.  I had to say it twice then tell him it was a joke...at that point, it wasn't funny.....

I thought God was supposed to have a sense of humor!

HA.HA....See, that was a joke too...playing off of the owner being God.

I responded to a new job call today.

Wish me well that I need to be where I am supposed to be job wise!

Awesome!

Today is FRIDAY!  Tonight I have a GNO with my Maggie girl and I am excited!  Mommy and Daddy are going to Mommy's work party.  We will stay in and play games and watch some TV but it will, never less, be fun!  I love spending one-on-one time with her!

Tomorrow I am going to work in Shelbyville.  Some good friends need help with the accounting/books for their business so I will be spending the day in the country.  It is so nice to be in the country sometimes.  So peaceful and quiet....

I got 2 more gifts completed!  My dad and Steph's brother Daniel is done!  I need to recheck my list to see who is left!

BTW, when are we doing our homemade gift exchange Judy, Steph and Steph?  Should we plan another GNO (but make it GNI) and get a movie and dinner at our house?  Judy, why don't you take charge and spear this project together?  tee hee!!

Frustrated!!!!!

Can you believe I am STILL working on the books for work?  I did get the checking account updated but when I was told there was a credit card account, which has never been reconciled I thought I might be sick.  It is in a worse mess than the checking account.  I am gotten through January - May but June is driving to want to drink and I am NOT a drinker!  I get so frustrated that I have to work on it for 3 hours or more than put it away for the day.  To think I HAVE to have June - December done by the first of the year is making me CRAZY...one day at a time I know...but frustrating never less!

Throat

I am afraid I am having issues again with my throat!!  It seems I am going up and down with my speech patterns and have a scratchy voice again.  It makes me wonder if I have another growth growing...NONOSAYITISN'TSO!

Today, I asked Joel at work if he heard my voice sound weird and he said he hadn't.  I responded with "You hear everything else I say, why not?"

..............That wasn't so nice was it????

tee hee!

Many products (including toothpaste) coming out of China are now being recalled due to unsafe materials to make products and keep the budget at a low cost. Those Boys

I was told by one of our techs today that he had a job interview. When this guy leaves, I will be sad. He is the easiest tech to work with. I could have him drive to the east side of Indy, to the moon and then back to the office on the north side and he wouldn't say two negative words about it. He just does his job. I do wish him the best but wish he wasn't leaving. I also wish those guys didn't tell me such delicate information. I would never run and tell secrets but if I am asked, I would have to tell because of my position in the company. It is a fine line to walk....

Today was pretty good. I found an old friend I used to work with when we used to work at "corporate America". We instant message each other today. It was great hearing from her!

Be Safe!

This was sent to my mom from my dad's sister:

Since it didn’t even make the news, and Angi works with the Lady, I wanted to warn everyone that may frequent the Wal-Mart on Pendleton Pike that on Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving Day, this lady was leaving the store, and it was 7:00 p.m. and raining, and someone kicked her extremely hard in the small of her back and took her purse and the items she had purchased in the store….What a nice Thanksgiving gift….

Please share this with anyone that you think may need to know…..

Be Safe….

Gift List

Moving towards the end of my list for the holidays.

I got the Wii for Paul, Steph and Mags. I got a few extra's for Maggie. I still need to find stocking stuffers for Paul and Steph. I have gotten my mom her gift but haven't found anything for dad. I got something for Steph's mom but nothing for her brother Daniel. All the guys at work are getting food (soup and candy). I still have to make the candy. I have something little for my massage therapist. I have something for my friend Becky. I have something for Luci. I have something for Laurie but may pick something else little up for her. My 3 home made gifts for my 3 girl friends are made.

Who am I forgetting?

Oh yes, myself! I need to buy for myself! I love Christmas because things are plentifully and costs are down. I love to buy one for you and one for me. HAHA!

How are you doing on your list?

Missing

Last night when I came home from work, Maggie yelled "HI AUNTIE" when I came in the door. Afterwards she said, "I knew it was you coming in because you were the only one missing."

I thought this was very cute! Mommy and Daddy were both home so since I was not home, it had to be me coming in.

I didn't know

Hey check this out and tell me if it is true or not!

One would think I would have noticed the little secret on my dash, which has been staring at me for 24 years..but NO!

Quick question! What side of your car is your gas tank? If you are anything like me driving several different vehicles, you probably can't remember right away. I've stuck my head out the window to look, with no luck normally . . . especially on rental and borrowed cars.

If you look at your gas gauge, you will see a small icon of a gas pump. The handle of the gas pump will extend out on either the left or right side of the pump. If your tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left. If your tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right (see photo below). It's that simple!

Who I Work With

There is an older guy at work who is SO NEGATIVE! He is really starting to bring me down. At first, I just listened to him because I didn't know. I didn't know it was his personality. I thought he was going through a tough time so I listened. Now, I know better.

One tech is leaving the company very soon....he told me just as soon as his lease is up, he is moving to Florida. That is where he came from and he can't wait to get back there. The cold weather is killing him. I like this tech because he NEVER complains. I could send him from one side of the city to the next and I wouldn't hear anything about it. He just does his job.

The last tech is very full of himself. He thinks he is beautiful. Well, ugly he is not but I would never look at him and think he was beautiful. Then there is what I would consider his speech impediment....I think he sounds like Elvis.

The last tech is actually the owner. He is a type A personality and is a brother to the tech above (the one with the big head). This guy is very smart but because of his type A style, he likes to micro manage. I can't stand that.

I got a call from an agency today. Looks like I may have a new lead.

Gift

The boys at work (well technically the owners) (both younger than I!!!) gave me and the 2 techs gift cards today for Thanksgiving. I thought it was very nice. I wonder if it has a direct relation to me. I give out things for holidays...for example I made home made cookies and passed them out yesterday and said, "Many Blessings To You" to each of the guys. I just have a feeling it helped.

Update of sorts

I went with a friend to a retreat last Saturday. Whatever you are thinking when you hear the words "spiritual retreat", I can assure you, it not anything like you are thinking. It is to hard to explain too. The facilitator is just amazing. She is an elderly lady and she is so wise and I just get so full of positive energy and life whenever I get to see and hear her talk. I wrote down a lot of stuff so that I can go back and re-read what she said. I think I may start seeing her privately. She is only in town about 2 times a year but I believe I could come leaps and bounds with what she has to teach me. It is pretty exciting.

Maggie and I made homemade cookies tonight. I totally went off my diet. There were 2, which fell apart so I ate them. Then later, I wanted to see if they were good cold and had another one. I don't plan on eating any more. I just wanted to see if they were good as it was recipe I made for the first time. I actually made them for the techs at work for Thanksgiving. I am having to put them in Christmas tins but knowing these guys, who ever gets home cooked anything, they will love them if I had put them into a paper sack.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Pretty Sick Today

I woke up with something bad this morning. It is a throat thing. I know I am not feeling my best but when you dream about being sick, you know you are sick. So I am just taking it easy today. Hope everyone is well and having a good day!

Crazy Stuff

After crying yesterday I thought it was best to look for another job. So I did get resumes out and also sent information to a temp agency.

Question of the moment is...do you think owner has a suspicions? He bought me flowers today. I was very confused. This isn't the kind of man who buys flowers...at least I didn't think he was....anyway, why does this kind of thing happen?

Ho Ho Ho is now Ha Ha Ha

Do you hear about the Santa’s in Australia not being able to use the traditional greeting “ho ho ho” because it may be offensive to women? One Santa said he wasn’t supposed to use the greeting because it was too close to the US slang for prostitute and could frighten children.

I wonder if there has been a study to prove if you are near Santa and he is saying, “ho ho ho” then that person then believes they are actually a ho ho ho and becomes a hooker later in life? Could this be the reasoning behind the craziness?

An Old Saying: If you have a problem and and the problem had something to do with money, then you really don't have a problem.

Today I was talking to number 2 in charge at work. He is very young. Let's just say he was born long AFTER I graduated from high school!) I call him a "punk kid" who has much to learn..of course to myself I say this and to my friends but never to anyone at work. Anyway, back to the subject, he was going on and on about money and so I told him I was going to give my job until the first of the year and then if I didn't get what I deserved to make, I would be leaving. I don't know if it sunk in with him but he did say for me to talk to number 1 in charge. I am supposed to be getting a percentage of sales dollars after I am trained. I can't get trained and still have much to learn but it is hard to be trained when number 1 is always off hunting and fishing. I am NOT kidding. He was out 3 days last week and this week 4 and 1/2 days. This has been going on since the 2nd week I started. He hasn't worked a FULL WEEK since the 2nd full week I started!! He is basically the only one to train me because all the others are working in the field. My point is he MUST feel confident with me doing what I am doing by myself in the office otherwise he shouldn't be leaving me to take care of business and if this is the case, he needs to PAY ME MORE MONEY!!!!

I have been selling things on Ebay to make ends meet. It stinks to be me....but hey, you know that old saying....

Maggie and Nana

Nana made Maggie's costume again this year. It was a soft and cuddly kitten. She was so cute in it! Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Daniel took her out while the rest of us stayed back to pass out candy. Maggie went to 1 house and was done. After all the work my mom put into the costume! It wasn't until we spotted a friend in our cul de sac who was going did she decide to go again. So they went with her friend and walked the local area. We only had a very few treaters this year. Less than 20 would be my guess. We have so much candy it isn't even funny. Last year we had lots of treaters. I wonder what happened especially since it was a nice night and everything.

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a good day. If you didn't, surely this picture brought a smile to your face!

I don't know the facts or if these are true but this is quite a list!

47 reasons why you might not want to work for the Clintons .

A list of Clinton (past/passed) “friends:”

1-James McDougal - Clinton 's convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation.

2 -Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown . The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3- Vince Foster - Former White House counselor and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock 's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4- Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller committed suicide.

5- C. Victor Raiser II- Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6-Paul Tulley - Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock , September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "Dear friend and trusted advisor."

7-Ed Willey - Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8-Jerry Parks -Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock . Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock . Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton . He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9-James Bunch - Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas .

10-James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.

11-Kathy Ferguson- Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12-Bill Shelton - Arkansas State Trooper and fiancé of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancé, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancé.

13-Gandy Baugh - Attorney for Clinton 's friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

17-Danny Casolaro - Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.

18- Paul Wilcher - Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 "October Surprise" was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.

19-Jon Parnell Walker - Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington , Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.

20-Barbara Wise - Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.

21-Charles Meissner -Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.

22-Dr. Stanley Heard - Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton 's advisory council personally treated Clinton 's mother, stepfather and brother.

23-Barry Seal -Drug running pilot out of Mena Arkansas , death was no accident.

24-Johnny Lawhorn Jr. - Mechanic, found a check made out to Bill Clinton in the trunk of a car left at his repair shop. He was found dead after his car had hit a utility pole.

25-Stanley Huggins - Investigated Madison Guaranty. His death was a purported suicide and his report was never released.

26- Hershell Friday - Attorney and Clinton fund raiser died March 1, 1994, when his plane exploded.

27-Kevin Ives & Don Henry - Known as "The boys on the track" case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, due to falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the 2 boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. Many linked to the case died before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury.

34-Jordan Kettleson - Was found shot to death in the front seat of his pickup truck in June 1990.

35-Richard Winters - A suspect in the Ives / Henry deaths. He was killed in a set-up robbery July 1989.

HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT? SURELY YOU JEST!

Very Cute!

Maggie brought home a book she got at the school library. It was "All About Football". I thought that was very funny especially since none of us watch football. To cute!

Happy Eve of Halloween

Would that be correct? Happy Eve of Halloween?? This being Tuesday? I am not sure of this...

Anyway, today all the guys were scheduled to be in the office so I brought in little tins for each of them with candy. It was like they hadn't ever gotten anything from anyone before. "I got candy, I got candy!" Was what one of the guys said. They all seemed so excited. Glad I could be of service gentlemen. So now I know.

Better

I got a little sleep today and so I am feeling better. Hopefully I will be all new tomorrow.

Maggie was very nice, loving and fun with me today. It was like the Maggie I used to know. I am sure being 6 is hard as she is working on being dependent but it was so much more fun with her today laughing and playing with me.

Terrible Night

I was up all night because I was sick. Each time I lay down I wake up due to the phelm choking me. So I have been up since 2 a.m. I went to bed around 11:30 so I have had a total nights rest of about...2 1/2 hours. Go me!

Feeling Kaput!

Today at work I came in and the computer wouldn't work. Well, the computer worked but I couldn't get online to get the techs schedules. So I called AT&T, our Internet provider, and was told the Internet would be back up at 7:45 a.m. It was after 8 when I called...I knew I was in trouble. About 20 minutes passed and it was determined by the gal in India the problem was on their end and not out end. She stated to continue checking. An hour passed and I called again. Spoke to another guy who made me run all the darn tests I did with the first girl even though I told him she had said it was AT&T issue. Finally about 30 minutes later, he said the issue wasn't on our end. He said the issue should be resolved at 11:45 a.m. So I called at noon because it wasn't up. I had to go through the entire situation all over again with a new guy. After 30 minutes he said the computer should be up at 1:45 and I could call back after that time if I had an issue. Well, I called again at 2 p.m. Same as before. I was told the computer should be up around 2:15 and I was like, it is after 2:15 now...oh well...okay...studder...was what I heard. Then he did some more research and I was told the situation with AT&T was repaired and I should be able to get on. Guess what?....no go with that. It was almost 3 p.m. and I told the guy, "I am done with this. I have less than an hour here and I am tired of dealing with this." I figure if it doesn't work tomorrow, then the owner can mess with it. He likes to mess with the computers but I am hoping the issue resolves itself overnight and all is a go tomorrow. So I cleaned the office...one of the techs helped me. Also, my mom brought me my lunch so it was a pretty good work day considering it all.

I took a couple things to "I Sold It On Ebay" tonight after work. I found out some very bad news. They will only take things, which has sold for more than $30.00. I had 2 ink cartridges (bought new for over $100 each) and since the average sold cost was under $30, they wouldn't take my goods. This disappoints me as I wanted to sell some craft supplies through them. I guess I will either have to do the ebay selling myself or give the goods to charity. I was so hoping to recover some money through selling items on ebay since I am now being paid at the poverty level...

One day at a time........

Tuesday

What a crazy day! Work was pretty good because the boss was out of town. I got a HUGH job done. I have been working on balancing the checkbook for over a month...it was NEVER balanced since the company started and it was a mess!!! So, I told the owner I could "make" it balance or I could do it right and fix the issues. I have basically worked on this non-stop for 30 days. I got 6 months balanced so far. The first 3 months was absolutely the worse mess I have ever seen so the rest of it shouldn't take anytime. I am feeling so much better about having this done and off my plate. It will be so much easier to keep it updated and current and I can't wait to be able to just be able to do just that. The only other issue is he has another account for the credit card payments. I haven't even looked at that account. I sure hope it isn't messed up like the checking account was.

Nothing else really to report right now....I have nothing going on on the personal front to really talk about.

Long Time

I realize it has been a very long time since I have written....I believe I have a pretty good reason. Since I have been working, I haven't felt like it. That is pretty much the reason. I am on the computer from 7:30 in the morning until I leave work at 4 Monday-Friday. I really don't feel like getting on the computer. It is really the last thing I feel like when I get home at night. With that said, I realize there are also Saturday and Sunday every week...so I have been thinking about why I haven't been writting durning those days, it is simple. Writing about what I have been up to is the last thing I have wanted to write. The job is going "just okay". It has been very hard for me to adapt to my new role. The owner is younger than I am (at least 10 years) and he just doesn't understand he has someone great working for him. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I know the types of workers out there available. I guess the reason why I haven't gone postal on him is because I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. This is a new business for him and he hasn't learned to let go. Looking at his fingers says a lot about him. You can tell he is nervous as he not only is chewing on his nails, he chews on his skin around his nails too. If I happen to say a word wrong on the phone, he asks me about it. I just hope I can get through this without getting fired first.

After a very long day of headache, I finally got to feeling well enough to go to a party. It was a bonfire and hay ride. I actually took a ride on the hay ride! This is only the 2nd time in my life I have been on a hay ride. It was pretty darn fun!

The locals

I had the BEST and I mean BEST facial tonight! Right downtown Westfield is a spa called Sheila's Studio Spa. The girl who did my facial was around my age and she really did an awesome job! I highly recommend Melinda Young! Ph: 896-2727

Tuesday

I can tell all the guys at work are getting used to me or comfortable or something because they are starting to make "boy" noises! You know the ones....the burping and grunting and all the boy stuff. One of them even cussed today. Not at me of course but after a call was received twice from the same sales call place.

Another One Bites The Dust

Seth's Mom.... I got your birthday present tonight! Fraubyers told me to taunt you by calling you on the phone but I thought I would just blog about it since your birthday is weeks away....

Have a great Monday!

Finally Back!

I left at 12:30ish and just got back...it is after 6:00 p.m.!!! It took FOREVER!! I am pretty happy with the turn out...not that is it perfect...by any means....but I think you will each like what I am going to do for each of you. At least I hope so...just remember, practice makes perfect and since this is totally new for me, it isn't great or prefect but I would be happy with it if you gave it to me!

Now we are off to the Mexican restaurant for dinner!!

Off to the art studio today!

I am very excited today! I am going to an art studio to start working on Seth's Mom, Fraubyers and Mrs. P Christmas gift! I have NEVER done what I am about to do today so please cross fingers this all goes well. I have no idea how this is going to turn out but it should be fun trying.

I am feeling bad about Mrs. P. She wants to go so badly, even though she doesn't know where or what I am doing....but I can't have her go with me because it would completely run my gifts!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

I am FREE!

I closed on the house today and now I am FREE of making any more payments! Hurray! I am very happy!

Work went well too.

Tomorrow, I shall go to Archivers!

I wish I could get coupons for Michaels. Our house doesn't get them.

I caved in

I wanted to let my hair grow and be "natural", as in no chemicals but I gave in today. At first I thought it was pretty cool. I loved seeing how much gray hair I had. Over the past few weeks however, I decided I wasn't so sure if I liked the look or not. For the past 2 weeks I definitely knew it was something I didn't want just yet. So tonight, I had SIL do the deed and hopefully in about an hour, my hair will be a pretty brown color. Normally I have it professional dyed but wanted to save the moo la for bills since I have been without work for awhile. Wish me luck!

No Closing Today

I received a call 2 hours before I was supposed to be at the closing and was told it was called off. Not that the buyers backed out or not that the house wasn't going to sell, it was because the title company was waiting for paperwork to arrive. No worries, it was rescheduled for Friday at 4:30. This is all good for me. I have had a headache and I got to lie down for a little bit. It sure helped!

Boring Day but Good

I have been entering invoices into the computer for almost 2 days straight. 1/2 day yesterday and all day today. I still have at least 3 more full days to get everything up to date. No invoices have been entered since the first of May. No payments have been entered into the computer system either. So after I get the invoices entered, I will get to start the payments. It is pretty boring! I am keeping the faith that this job will keep me busy. I don't think the work load is going to keep me busy after I enter all the stuff, which needs to be entered. I think he thinks I want to work on Saturday's too. I guess he got that idea since I wanted more money. He said I could work Saturday's to get more money and I said that was a great idea. There is no way I will want to work every Saturday. This will interfere with my ME time. I need more ME time and you time. You know who I am speaking about! If you are reading this then it means YOU!

Great Day!

It was a good first day!!

More later!!

Here they come!

Every day for about the last 10 days, I have sent resumes out. Now that I have a job, it seems I am going to start getting calls. I got several today who wanted to interview me. Sorry guys....to late. I am sticking with the job I just got. Now I have to say if the $$ is more and I mean ALOT more, I will consider but so far everything is in the same ball park.

This goes to show if you snooze you loose.

Job Offer

I was offered an office manager job today at an overhead door company on the NE side of Indy. I took that job. The pay isn't great but I figure it is a good place to settle for now. The job is salary plus commission. It is my goal to get more business in so that I can make lots more money. The owner is really cool. He wears shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops to work. I believe I will have a cell phone provided too. I won't get a company car though...haha!! The service guys gets a truck. I asked if I could have a truck and was shot down. I laughed...I told him I was to prissy to be driving a truck anyway...he laughed. There are 3 service guys and then the owner. The owner asked me how I would deal if one of the guys were in a bad mood. I told him if they weren't nice to me than they wouldn't get homemade cookies. That was the deal breaker! Ding! Ding! You are personable so you get the job! (just kidding!) So not to bad at all. Basically after I decided I wanted to work I got a job less than 10 days. I really didn't want to start right away...I wanted to take the rest of the week off but I start TOMORROW! Of course I will have to take time off for the closing of my house...that is supposed to be on Thursday. Things are realy moving forward for me now!

Saturday Night

Last evening we celebrated our friend, Stephanie Buyer birthday. It was fun! We ordered pizza, had an awesome salad and ate snacks! Afterwards we watched the movie Blades of Glory. It was a silly, silly movie and we laughed out loud a few times. Certainly not appropriate for children...it reminded me of those movies for 13 year old boys...it is that kind of humor.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning. My crown fell off. I should also know about a job offer tomorrow. I am supposed to close on my house on Thursday. This week sounds like it should be pretty busy. I have lots of things on my plate.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Bacon

Last night my brother and I drove my niece to Lafayette. My parents are camping about an hour north of Lafayette and we met half way so she could spend the weekend camping. She LOVES camping with Nana and Papaw. So when we stopped for dinner at Cracker Barrel, she wanted to eat bacon. So we ordered bacon for her. When she finished eating she asked daddy, "Did they make this bacon special for me because I am so cute?"

Of course!

Saturday

Today I went and had lunch with Luci and Connie. It was a lot of fun but afterwards...oh boy, I didn't feel so well. I am feeling better now and plan on going and seeing my friend Laurie tonight. I must get all my running out of me so I can settle down and get down to business after I

a. Go back to school
or
b. Go back to work

I will certainly miss being off. It has been SO NICE! Everyone needs a month off to enjoy once in awhile! I highly advise it!

Speaking of work, the accountant of the job I just left called me today. She was looking to get into Quickbooks and couldn't find the files. I was like..."They were there when I left!" I also asked if she was looking at the correct program, at the correct computer and so on....I walked her through how to find the file and she still couldn't find it. I was asked to come in and find it for her. OH MY WORD! Since I am getting severence pay, I agreed to do it. This was one of the reasons why, I am sure, I am getting the pay. In fact, they said they would be calling if they had questions...so I have to go in. The accountant also asked me to email her the files. The only problem is....she can't open the Quickbook files used at her office, which is located in California. I have gone through this with her before. She uses an order version...this isn't my problem now??!! WELL...it is since she will be the person who will do the payroll and give my my last check!!! UGH! I wonder what Warren has done with the darn file. I am sure he was in there. He knows a little about Quickbooks, where Rich wouldn't dare or even know how to open the darn software up....

Friday - 2nd Interview

I had a second interview today with the ad agency. I walked away not knowing if I was going to be offered the job or not. It was a very weird thing...I was brought in to meet the staff. Meeting the staff was easy for me. I got along well with everyone and if that is all it was about, then I could easily be offered the job. We laughed and had a great "visit". I was asked a few questions and I answered them the best I could, however thought I didn't have enough time to express myself so that they could see the real me. Does this make sense? So I left without a clue. None. I was told I would know on Tuesday. So now guess what? I want this job. I want this job more than anything. Isn't this the way it goes? I must let it go and just know what will be, will be. This is my life thought so I need to remember this right now.

The Brick Test

1. Put 400 bricks in a room.
2. Put your new employees in the room with the bricks and close the door.
3. Leave them alone and come back after six hours.
4. Then analyze the situation:

a. If they are counting the bricks, put them in the Accounting Department.
b. If they are recounting them, put them in Auditing.
c. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, put them in Engineering.
d. If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, put them in Planning.
e. If they are throwing the bricks at each other, put them in Operations.
f. If they are sleeping, put them in Security.
g. If they have broken the bricks into pieces, put them in Information Technology.
h. If they are sitting idle, put them in Human Resources.
i. If they say they have tried different combinations, they are looking for more yet not a brick has been moved, put them in Sales.
j. If they have already left for the day, put them in Marketing.
k. If they are staring out of the window, put them in Strategic Planning.
l. If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and put them in top Management.
m. Finally, if they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor heard from, put them in Congress.

Thanks to Sue who sent this one my way! Very cute!

WOW - 24 hours later

I have a buyer for my house! The price isn't exactly what I wanted but I have to consider all the house payments, electric bills, water bills etc, which I have been paying the last 4 months..those all add up. This buyer has been pre-approved so we have to wait on the inspection and survey then we will be able to close. They want to close by the 13th of September. I am ready to give them the keys today. So ready...Paying the house payment this month will leave me at basically a zero balance in my checkbook or maybe even a negative. I should have more $$ coming in but I am not sure when....I have severance pay coming to me from my ex-job but who knows when that will be received. I just know all will work out and I am not stressed or depressed...Not one time bit. I am in a good place emotionally and feel pretty peaceful.

I took Maggie to school again today. I just love that child more than anything. Yesterday she said her best friends from last year wouldn't play with her or talk to her. I was going to have to get out a whoopin' stick and whoop me some girls...(ha ha) I plan on sitting tight and letting things work out naturally but if anyone hurts my niece, well...let's just say it won't be pretty...HAHAHAHAHA!!!! (Look at Auntie acting so big and bad!) I told Maggie she was friendly and there were lots of new people she could get to know and also she would continue to meet and have new friends as the days progress. I tried to put a positive spin on this...not necessarily for her sake but mine! (LOL!)

Offer Refused

I didn't even counter...I found out the buyer was a FHA loan and I would end up paying points and repairs and such. I told the real estate person what my bottom line was a week ago when she wanted to bring the price of the home down....and yet the offer was 10K under. She also advised me what to counter offer, give into their demands and go with the FHA loan. That was way under the minimum I already told her I would take. No way, I will keep it and rent it out if I need to. I am not giving this house away.

Big girl

While I know some are cheering to see the children are returning to school, I cried. I didn't let her see me but I had separation anxiety.

First grader!

I am taking her to school today and I am pretty emotional. She seems just fine so I must be strong!

Offer Received On House

I am not happy with the offer...AT ALL...but will have to really think really hard to decide what to do...You wouldn't even believe what they want me to pay for...their down payment...all the closing costs...title search...survey...just about anything and everything under the sun. I am just deciding what to do....what to do....

Craft night

We will be making Christmas initials for your tree. I have a B, P and W to do your last names. Bring basic tool set...may or may not need but just in case...

Nothing New

I have no news to report. I haven't had an offer on my house...it has been 2 weeks on the market, have had 8 showings and NOTHING offered...I am wondering what is going on...I believe if the house was on the market at a price to high, wouldn't I know by the response? Also, couldn't one make an offer if they had interest anyway regardless of the price on the house listed?? If I was interested, I sure would make an offer no matter what...but that is me.

It will be 2 weeks before I know if I am made an offer on the job I interviewed for yesterday. I have a thank you card ready to go in tomorrows mail to the president of the agency. It is a lovely card, which I made and I believe since he is a creative person, he will think it very smart.

Today my SIL, niece and I are going to get pedicures. We are going to a new salon open here in Westfield on Sunday! Hopefully this will turn out to be a great experience since we have never been serviced by this particular salon.

That is pretty much all I have now.

Many will recall that on July 8, 1947 witnesses claimed that an unidentified object with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch outside Roswell, New Mexico. This is a well known incident that many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and the Federal Government.

However, you may NOT know that in the month of March 1948 exactly nine months after that historic day, Albert Arnold Gore, Jr., Hillary Rodham, John F. Kerry, William Jefferson Clinton, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, Charles E. Schumer and Barbara Boxer were born.

See what happens when aliens breed with sheep...

This piece of information may clear up a lot of things.

Today's Interview

I had a wonderful interview today with the ad agency. If I don't get offered this job, I will be shocked.

Interviews

Today, I interviewed a school to see if I would be interested in going into the beauty field to become an esthitcian. I guess it will all depend on what happens tomorrow. What is tomorrow? I have another interview, this time however; it is for a job at an ad agency. I will keep you informed.

Thursday Morning

Yesterday I received a call from Rich's wife Crystal. It was good hearing from her. It was also nice to know that we have something other than business to talk about. I always wondered if I would have something to talk to her about if it weren't for business and it seems we do! She did say a sentence or two about work but it had to do with their immediate family issues. She even asked if after her boys got back to school next week if we could do lunch. It felt good hearing from her. I just wasn't sure if our "work friendship" would be something other than that...it was nice to know that perhaps it was more.

From the little she spoke about Rich I gathered he was really having a hard time with the transition. Actually, she said those words. I didn't ask any questions. I really don't want to know right now. I just can't imagine me holding a grudge with him for a long time, or anyone for that matter. I know it only hurts me when I do. Time does heal but I am still so mad at him for not listening to me. He knows I am intuitive and yet, he only learned afterwards time after time. Oh well, his lessons not mine. I am feeling healthier and happier day after day and I keep telling myself I asked for this. I prayed for this and now I am just waiting to hear what my next step will be. I know it is going to be all good.

Last night I went to a stamp camp. This is a camp I go to monthly. I had originally cancelled, however my friends came over and went through my craft goodies I wanted to rid myself of and the 10 bucks it took to cover my class was covered so I treated myself to the class.

I have another showing on my house today. It is a new person looking at the property. The second lookers, as indicated below, said they could buy a CP Morgan house for the cost I had my house up for sale. I wanted to ask why then would they come and look (twice!)at a house made in the 40's-50's if they wanted a new house? They also said it would cost 10K to get the house to where they wanted to live in it. My mother said, "WHAT?" Come to find out, that cost included a privacy fence, a step off the deck on the back and new siding. Okay, well, I am not going to come down 10K for those things. If I would want to live there, I would want to paint the inside doors, sand the hardwood floors and replace the windows...but the house is in livable condition as is. I mean, you are not going to find a perfect house from that time period. My Realtor wants to drop the price by 5K this weekend. The house has only been on the market for 1 1/2 weeks. This Saturday will make the 2nd Saturday. You think that is to soon? I really don't want to make another house payment as I have already made 4, so the sooner I rid myself of it, the sooner I will have a little more breathing room financially. It is tough, really tough.

I hope everyone has a blessed day today. Tomorrow I will be touring a school...will let you know afterwards how it went!

Things I've Learned

This one came from a friend's mother of mine! Thanks Sue for sharing!

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned that some members of your family may not always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. "Families" aren't biological.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that no matter how you try to protect you children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned that a little time down on you knees talking to the Man Upstairs will lift you up when nothing else can.

The Trouble Tree

I read this one before, but something told me to share it so here it is!

The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit, and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.

After opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles, and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward, he walked me back to my car. We passed the tree, and my curiosity got t he better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning, I pick them up again."

"Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

Library

I went to the library this evening to get some books on writing a business proposal. While I was there, I discovered the library was going to be having a craft fair in October and they need vendors. Jeannette Wachtel is in charge of the craft fair and she can be reached at 896-9391. I don't have any details but was told there may be some on the web. I believe the date was October 14th...it was on a Sunday.

Feeling Better Every Day.....

and I really didn't feel bad! I am just taking it day to day and trying to rest up for my next step. I have an appointment with a school on Friday. The other school, which I am interested in was closed today so I will call them tomorrow and hopefully get in to see them this week. I would like to have this all wrapped up and ready for me to go within the next week!

My house was showed today as a second look. I haven't heard if an offer was made. I pray it all goes well. I would call it a blessing if I got this house sold before I had to make another payment....then I know I was on the right track!

Hope everyone had a great day. I sure did!

Note

Judy, just let me know and I am so there!

I would like to give a special shout out to my girls who came over and went through my craft stash to help give me fast cash! I am planning on spending $10 Wednesday night to go to stamp camp and the rest will go towards help paying for my hospital bill this month!

Gracious amigos!

Open for business

Just in case you aren't aware, I was laid off from my job yesterday. I wasn't shocked or upset...I was just disappointed. Extremely disappointed in actions from Rich Deering (boss 1). His continued bad decisions made the company fail. The last bad business decision was partnering up with Warren Hoffman (boss 2). I have always said, Warren wanted MY JOB. Just ask my friends as a I have said this from about day one when he came on board. Well he can have it with my blessings. I am moving up and moving on! They did offer me a severance package, which I appreciated and I will be eligible for unemployment, if that is needed. I have much talent and many opportunities are only beginning to open for me and know things will only get better for me. This last job I poured my heart, soul and treated it as if it were my own business and never received the benefits...I leave with not sorrow but with a learning experience, which could only have come by knowing these 2 men.

Pure love is a willingness to give without a thought of receiving anything in return.
--Peace Pilgrim

I have to remember this when I am dealing with my niece as sometimes she isn’t very loving to me. I realize it is the ebb and flow of things and she is a child so I cut her slack most of the time. Other times, however; I beat myself up for thinking maybe I am giving up myself way to much for not much in return. It is a teeter totter experience for me. Why would I want her to wake me up every Saturday and Sunday when in a matter of an hour, she will have turned her back on me. At night she refuses to give me even a hug and yet the next morning she is waking me up early so that she can go downstairs. Am I teaching her to be disrespectful and is she using me? I have such a hard time knowing. The next moment I believe maybe she is just expressing her independence with me. It is safe for her to do so because she knows I won’t turn my back on her. That is what I tell myself at least...or is she really just going to turn out to be yet another selfish child for the future to have to contend with?

I hope not.

Cell phone shot

This was taken with my phone. Imagine what the picture looks like in person!
