Nashville Get Away

My get away was not a good one. I am to tired to even go into why right now. I found a great new place to shop and got to see a spiritual teacher so it wasn't all bad but if I had to give it a thumbs up or down, it would be 2 thumbs down.

Happy Thursday and Friday to me!

I am leaving work early and I am heading south today. I am going to go see a friend who lives in Nashville. I am pretty excited because she is going to take me to a new scrapbook place, which just opened. No, I am not a scrapbooker, but it does mean one of my lucky friends may get what I will be making. She and I are going to a class this evening. It will be fun seeing a new shop, new ideas and the obvious, getting to spend time with her. The only sad part for me is that I will miss seeing my niece. She spent last night with her nana and papaw so it will be 2 nights and 3 days without her. I love and miss her so much when I am away from her. I guess the only good news is that her parents will have time to deprogram her from staying with the grandparents by the time I get home...(HAHA...just kidding mom!)

I will try to post while I am down in the valley but one can never depend on cell coverage.

Red

I have had to stop at every red light coming home! Arg!

Beautiful Day

It is 2 p.m. and beautiful outside. I was tired of sitting here so I got up and took a walk. Across from where I work, there is both a track and also a paved path working its way around part of the state park. I walked the path near the park and when I got tired, I sat down on the grass. I could have stayed there the rest of the day and things would have been good for me but I had to ruin my fun and come back into work. I am finding I like being outside. This is a new concept for me because I don’t know if I enjoyed being outside much my entire life. Well, I do remember liking to be outside and swinging on the bench (I would even do this when snow on the ground) but never have I remembered wanting to go out just to be in nature. I am going to go to Nashville on Thursday night and look forward to walking with my friend Kathleen and her dog at the state park. What is up with me?

Judy, did you find your missing stamp? Get into your van and slam on the brakes and maybe you will find it.

Tuesday Morning

Judy, of course you can borrow my "Be Happy Everyday" stamp. If I had known you wanted to use that one too, I would have added it to your borrow bag. Believe me, anytime you want to have a borrow bag, I would be happy to share. I am a good sharer. Sorry you had to spend the money and then lost your stamp. That really bites. If you lose my "Be Happy" stamp, I would not be happy, I would be sad, but it is just a stamp and I would get over it. You might have to give me one of your children for compensation but otherwise we would be all good. Also, I didn't get to read the post so I didn't get to put the stamp in SIL purse. If you need it before tomorrow, you are welcome to come and get it tonight. Just let me know before you come so I will have plenty of time to find it on my craft table....HA HA! (not kidding)

I do not steal, nor did I steal your gift. Well, sometimes I steal kisses from my niece but she then wipes it off so that makes it even...but your gift, NOPE, it was purchased right under your nose.

Last night I played with niece...we played Toy Story. She has the Buzz, Woody and squeaky toy. Each time I was Buzz and he did something fun, I had to trade and be Woody. Then that darn cowboy would have fun and the next moment I found I was traded yet again to Buzz. It was so confusing being different characters within 5-10 minutes of each other. It is a good thing I am such a good actress and can switch rolls so often and quickly. I think I hear Hollywood calling me now.

I am going to have a good day today even if I don't want to! I have much work to do even though it isn't what I particularly want to do! I stopped and got coffee so things should be good at least until the cup is empty!

Hope everyone has a full cup kind of day!

Busy Weekend Busy Monday

I got up this morning, without my consent, and went straight to my sales training class. After class, I had to head to owners home to fix their home computer. Net nanny expired and for some reason, it couldn’t be updated and downloaded correctly. I also had to do some virus and system changes and updates so I ended up staying there for 3 hours. Now, I am back at work to start my work day and the only thing I want to do is to take a rest. I guess instead of a rest, I am going to take a walk. This should perk me up and it is so beautiful outside. I just can’t resist! Who knows, maybe I will not come back!

Weekend went by WAY to fast! I don't feel like I have had a break AT ALL. It wasn't that I didn't have a nice weekend, I did, but it felt like I never stayed at home at all this weekend. I don't remember Friday night, it is a blur to me. Saturday I went to my friend Laurie's house. I volunteered to bring Penn Station because I had a buy one get one free coupon, which I lost before I got there so I eneded up spending my weekly allowance in one everying!! HAHA! It was a nice night anyway and I got to spend it with my nerd friend Laurie who I don't get to see very often so it was worth it... Yesterday, my friend Judy, Stephenie and I went to a local art festival. I got 2 Christmas gifts and lots of ideas. Who were the gifts for? One was for my friend Kathleen, it was a print and I am going to frame it and the other was for none other than my friend Judy! I am one sneaking gal. In fact, on Sunday, Judy asked me if the old fashion Christmas gifts, which are to be homemade, had to be homemade by the giver. I wanted to laugh because I had already gotten her homemade gift at the festival...So the answer I gave was "No, you don't have to make it yourself...but is has to be homemade." It isn't that I wouldn't want to make the gift myself, and it isn't that I might not make someone elses gift, it is just sometimes the perfect gift shows itself and this was the case....and it was homemade so I followed my own rules. LOL!

Look

My friend is looking for this dip mix. If you find it, would you please either 1. Report your findings to me or 2. Purchase a few and I will reimburse you?

Friday, September 22, 2006

Score!

I got a gift card for closing an order.

An old fashion Christmas

Would anyone want to swap homemade gifts for Christmas? I think it could be fun. I know I have plenty of supplies to use already. I would like to know now so that I can start planning on what I want to give and make for Christmas time. I am a planner, if you don't know that already. Who is game?

2005 Birthday Present

Thanks to my friend Beth who sent me my birthday present! She apologized that it was over a year late but I don't care because I love it!

Stamping Site

Here is the stamping site. It is amazing. Truly amazing.

I had a call on my cell phone this afternoon and after I finished with my call, I threw my cell phone away instead of my gum. This also reminds me of the time family found lettuce in the cabinet instead of the fridge and at one time, I used to always leave the water running in the bathroom after washing my hands. I think I might be a little stressed....you think?

Salad Anyone?

I love to eat salad so this hit my stomach hard. I am just glad I didn't have one for lunch today or I may have lost it. The note attached to the picture stated what probably happened was the water the lettuce was washed in contained polliwogs and these became fresh new frogs, right in the packages. So if you're looking for salad fixings with a little more body, then be sure and try this brand.

My mom said she watched a show on TV about how they "clean" the washed lettuce! I guess the show was correct!
To be young again

Today's youth will be tomorrow's leaders. Are you scared?
Love this show

This is one of our favorite shows. If you haven't seen it, is is called The Office. These people are all weird and it is like watching a train wreck but at the same time, we can't get enough of it. Kind of reminds me of the Napoleon Dynamite comedy, but for adults.

Let me set the scene up a bit. The boss, who is a total diaster and doesn't do any work, passes on deciding what insurance plan to use to the local geek of the group. Some of the workers decide to make up illnesses. So the geek decides to take matters in his own hands.

Thursday

Thursday is better than Friday this week. Big wig coming in to interview office for potential new product line on Friday. (I went and had my hair cut and my facial hair removed for the interview....HAHA) Name time and place on Thursday and I will be there. I could also meet at I69 and 96th St at Cracker Barrel, also love Roly Poly. It does not matter where....Name the place...and maybe friend of three can also join in the fun. Met a friend at Cracker Barrel last week and it was pretty good timimg wise but we went at 11:00 to beat the crowds.

Bad for Me Taste So Good

I am eating an unhealthy lunch today. I normally don’t eat chips let alone dip because it seems to sour so nicely in my tummy but today, I had a hankering for some. So I went to my local CVS, where everybody know your name, and bought some. What is really gross is as I am typing I looked down and can see my keys are turning a very pretty shinny black from all the grease! GROSS!

The only good for me I am having is my oj with sprite. I just love mixing those 2 together, especially if the oj has lots of pulp. Drinking it this way makes me think I am drinking a mixed drink while on the job and I seem to get through the day a little brighter. Even though, I would normally never drink a mixed drink any other time.

Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

7920 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 317-598-8829

You want to go sometime?

There is also a, geez, what is the name of that place that gives you fresh baked buns with the honey sweet butter?? That place is on Shadeland too. Not Charlestons, not McAlister's Deli but....Memory is failing me!

Also next to my work is Panera Bread....yummy.

And Culvers.

Work and tudes for me to remember

Coughed my head off like a fool last night, however I NEVER choked! I was quite pleased with the amount of sleep I had gotten. If I had to guess I would say it would be about 4-5 hours total. It wasn't uninterrupted sleep because of the coughing but it was SLEEP never less and I was excited about it! So this morning I got up and took my shower planning on working. After my shower I was completely exhausted! So I text messaged the owner of my company and said I needed to take a short rest and then would be in. Just now, at 11:33 a.m. I woke up. It felt SO GOOD to sleep. I haven't sleep for more then 30-45 minutes at a time since last Thursday! I am a renewed person.

Yesterday SIL dad and grandmother came for a visit. I would describe her grandmother extremely wise. I love hearing her speak about the ways of the world. Her grandmother reminded me with what she was saying that I was protected. So last night I prayed asking for protecting. Each time I woke up coughing I gave thanks for not losing my breath. I wish I could remember to use protection all the time. The other thing she discussed was attitude and gratitude. She said those were her tudes she liked. I would have to agree with her. It was so great to see her and I know it was what I needed to hear and remember. Thanks Eleanor!

Week four

Cut off the dead leaves and believe it or not I have not killed it yet.

Geocaching

We got up this morning and went geocaching. The first one we went to was pretty easy to find and then decided to move to another one in the woods. We walked and walked in the woods up and down. It felt good to be out and about although I totally exhausted myself due to my cold. I wasn't used to doing much in these last few days and should not have done as much as I did. My family thinks I should stay home from work another day but I am itching to get back in to start getting back to "normal", if there is such a thing. After tomorrow night I am sure I will be itching to take time off.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

2:30 am

When I was young, this time of morning would be okay to be awake but being 40 years old, this time is NOT acceptable. I do have to say, I did get some sleep tonight. "Some" being the word of the moment since the last few nights have not been good. Let me think, I believe I got to sleep almost 2 full hours without waking up being choked by my cold. The night time is not a good time for me. If you are speaking with me during the day you wouldn't have any idea that my cold comes back to life at night. So weird to me.

More than 10 minutes

I just had my first more than 10 minutes sleep! I would say it was an hour to an hour and a half! This is great news! I tried sleeping both in my room and on both couches but to no prevail so I decided to try downstairs in the theater room chairs and it worked!! I didn't wake up trying to catch my breath or anything and I think I may have found my place to get some rest...The only problem is I woke up and I was absoutely freezing...To the point of being numb...I will definately have to work on that but being cold beats the heck out of not being able to breath and sleep.

Bad Night

It sucks to be sick. I was up all night, well almost all night. I slept, I would guess, an hour maybe 2 at the most. At one point I thought I would have to wake up my household to take me to ER or even call 911. I couldn't breathe and I was wheezing trying to get a breath. That is the worst feeling one could ever experience I think. So I went downstairs and sat on the couch. I ended up falling asleep on the couch sitting up and when I woke up I was clutching the remote control extremely hard. I haven't ever sleep sitting up for any extended time and my lower back hurt. I remember watching a TV show on national geographic called Taboo. The first show was about the Chinese people who go to major extremes to grow. (This is happening in today's society.) They saw their bones in their legs in half and then place these awful, metal, torture looking things on their legs and what happens is the bones start regrowing between the 2 bones and if I remember right, you keep turning the screws to have the bones grow more. One girl had 4 inches added to her height. After over a year, you have the metal rods removed, which have been screwed into your bones. The other show was about female body builders. Everyone looked like men because they all took hormone shots. No thank you I say to both of these. Very interesting show though. I would watch the show again however I hope it is never under the same circumstances.

quickbooks

I need help. I realize I need to make a journal entry, however having troubles deciding what the best route is...Here is the deal. In April, instead of deducting my 401K money from my check, I added and credited myself with the money. (NOT GOOD!) Now, I did not do this on purpose mind you and I need help getting this corrected! Does anyone know much about quickbooks? Since the money is coming from payroll and there are taxes involved, it isn't easy for me to understand how or what I need to do to get the error fixed. What has happened is I owe $150 to this account because it has deducted the payment from another employees contribution! ACK! I have been messing with this for way to long and need to get this corrected. I would ask the accountant but she moved to California and we don't communicate well long distance so I want to leave her out of it! Anyone have any ideas?

Picture # 2

I am posting the picture of this dog today for a particular reason. I woke up late, or later than I normaly do and came into work with wet hair and no makeup. I believed my choices were either a shower and no makeup and hair done or sponge bath with makeup and hair done. I decided I would rather be very clean and no make up with hair wet. There is just something about the water, soap and a shower, which helps me feel better about the day. When I got about 5 minutes from my destination, I realized I had 15 minutes to spare! I could have at least painted my face. On top of having mucho minutes, I just realized I left without earrings too. God help me.

Why Dogs Bite Picture # 1

Things are depressing where I am right now so when this came across my email, it put a smile on my face. I hope if you are having a bad day, this will also cheer you up.

This is first of many of the dog pictures sent to me. I thought it was extremely cute. I can only imagine what this little dog is thinking. This little doggie's eyes say it all really. It really made me laugh. More pictures of “Why dogs bite” will forthcoming at a later date.

Tuesday Morning Blues

It is raining it is pouring, I am going to be sitting at my desk snoring. Everything is changing for me. I am not sure if it is good or bad but I know it is definitely going to be different. If I can get through the massive depression I am experiencing I would feel differently about what is happening in my world however as of right now, things are looking pretty bleak.

Watering your African violet

The 3 big 'NEVERS':
Never water from above.
Never water without first sticking your finger in the soil.
Never water with cold water straight from the tap.

Good tricks:
After you finish watering your plants, fill up the watering can and let it sit (for a few days until you are ready to water again). Then the water is at room temperature and ready to go. Also, there has been plenty of time for the chlorine and fluoride to evaporate out of the water.

Every few days stick your finger in the soil of each plant. If the soil sticks to your finger and feels damp, the plant is O.K. If the soil crumbles away easily and doesn't feel damp, it's time to water again.

Always use a watering can with a small spout:

Two watering methods are recommended:

Individual saucer method:
If your African violet pot is sitting in a nice deep saucer, fill up the saucer until the water is well above the bottom of the pot.

Let it sit for about an hour. After an hour, if there is still water above the level of the bottom of the pot, take the pot out of the saucer, pour the water out of the saucer, and return the pot to the saucer.

Big tray method:
Find a big deep tray or rectangular roasting pan. Put all of your African violet plants in the tray. Fill the tray with water. Let the plants sit in the tray for an hour. Remove and put back in their normal spots.

How often you water depends on what Type of flower pot you are using, and how much light your plant is getting. If your plant gets very little light, and lives in a plastic pot, it will need to be watered less often than a plant getting lots of light that lives in an unglazed ceramic pot.

Am I a Nerd?

The geocaching thing...I didn't win anything. We signed our name in the log with the date and time. That was all. It was a fun hour spent walking, spending time with the family outside and searching for something...Not sure exactly what we are looking for is half the fun. I read once the best family time is spent outside so this was a good way to spend time, in nature doing something together. Am I a nerd? If you want to call me a nerd, that is okay, because I enjoyed doing it. Also, we are setting up our own hunt too and eventually I want to do a travel bug.

What is a Travel Bug?

Simply put, a Travel Bug is a trackable tag that you attach to an item. This allows you to track your item on Geocaching.com. The item becomes a hitchhiker that is carried from cache to cache (or person to person) in the real world and you can follow its progress online.

What does a Travel Bug do?

It's really up to the owner of the bug to give it whatever task they desire. Or no task at all. The fun of a travel bug is inventing new goals for the Travel Bug to achieve. One Bug's goal may be to reach a specific country, or travel to 10 countries.

How do Travel Bugs work?

Each Travel Bug has its own unique tracking number stamped on it. This tracking number is used as proof by the user that they found the item. It also doubles as a way for the user to locate the personal web page for the travel bug.

Travel Bugs are tracked with the help of users who go online and "grab" them from caches, or receive them from users. The idea is by picking up and dropping off Travel Bugs on the web site you are mirroring the Bug's real world adventures. Each Travel Bug has its own "diary" that follows its movements.

I can't wait to start one!

Geocaching

Sun morning we went on our first outing scouting for cache (treasure hunt). We all searched and searched and I was the one who ended up finding (picture above). I thought it was pretty fun, which is unusual for me because I was sitting on the ground at times searching. What where we searching for?? We didn't know, which made it even more difficult. It took over an hour but in the end, I liked it and would definitely do it again! Want more information? Go to www.geocaching.com. It is a great, cheap thing to do as a family and these hidden treasures are all over the world. Sometimes you leave your name in a log, sometimes you take a gift from the treasure and leave a gift for the next person who finds the treasure.

What about tiles this weekend? Or will all your spare time be used? Call me if you get a break.

Pat yourself on the back!

Thanks to Sue for sending this one. It is a good one.

Congratulations TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1930's, 40's, 50's, and 60's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soda pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms........ .WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good. While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

September 8

You know it isn't a good day when you can't seem to spell the month. I woke up with a sinus headache today! *ARG!* Feeling some better now that I ate a bagel and had some strong coffee. I am afraid I am getting addicted to the coffee at Java Junction. It is really, really tasty and you just can't make this type of coffee at home or at work. No matter how many times I have tried to make a pot of coffee here at work, it fails. I haven't tasted doggie doo but have a feeling the coffee I make at work might be a close second.

I guess this beats the normal walking/running on the treadmill. Seriously, I love this one! Turn up your volume.

Stamp Set

Judy, it is retired.

Don't try to find it. USE MINE!

Cruel

Is someone playing a cruel joke on me? I looked at the clock earlier and it said it was after 2 p.m. I just now looked again and it is showing 1:05 p.m. That is cruelty at it’s finest!

As one of my all time favorite characters said: “I am just so darn bored! There ain’t an in-flight movie or nothing!” Anyone guess who said that?
How to Fold a Shirt

Does anyone know where I can find a Japanese woman to fold my laundry like this?

Lunch Out

I went and had lunch with the birthday girl, Stephanie today. She, Judy and I met at Boston Market. BTW, Judy, I believe I owe you for my part of Stephanie's lunch! Anyway, it was so nice to get out of the office for an hour. Okay, an hour and 15 minutes! You caught me!

At any rate, SIL and I gave Stephanie scrapbooking supplies. I really thought they were cute. I think Judy covet them too. I am looking forward to seeing some pages completed with those STEPHANIE! With that new camera, you better go and take some new pictures so you can use those supplies!

So like I said, it was Stephanie's birthday but I GOT THE GOODIES! Remember that stamp set opened by the building owner....and has never made it back to me!? Well, Ms Judy gave me her set! She said she didn't use them any longer and was going to get rid of them! BTW Judy I am ready to take on being your personal assisant for the ebay items....bring it on girl! Judy totally rocks! I am excited about those stamps and with her giving them to me, I will now have to make her a thank you card.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I am counting down the minutes to go home...I still have several more hours to go...*ugh*

Things to say to those men who are annoying.

I have seen some of these before, however they are good so decided to share with everyone. Thanks to my mom for sending it to me.

HE: Can I buy you a drink?
SHE: Actually I'd rather have the money.

HE: I'm a photographer. I've been looking for a face like yours.
SHE: I'm a plastic surgeon. I've been looking for a face like yours.

HE: Hi. Didn't we go on a date once? Or was it twice?
SHE: Must've been once. I never make the same mistake twice.

HE: How did you get to be so beautiful?
SHE: I must've been given your share.

HE: Will you go out with me this Saturday?
SHE: Sorry. I'm having a headache this weekend.

HE: Your face must turn a few heads.
SHE: And your face must turn a few stomachs.

HE: Go on, don't be shy. Ask me out.
SHE: Okay, get out.

HE: I think I could make you very happy.
SHE: Why? Are you leaving?

HE: What would you say if I asked you to marry me?
SHE: Nothing. I can't talk and laugh at the same time.

HE: Can I have your name?
SHE: Why? Don't you already have one?

HE: Shall we go see a movie?
SHE: I've already seen it.

HE: Where have you been all my life?
SHE: Hiding from you.

HE: Haven't I seen you some place before?
SHE: Yes. That's why I don't go there anymore.

HE: Is this seat empty?
SHE: Yes, and this one will be too if you sit down.

HE: So, what do you do for a living?
SHE: I'm a female impersonator.

HE: Hey baby, what's your sign?
SHE: Do not disturb.

HE: Your body is like a temple.
SHE: Sorry, there are no services today.

Miss Margot

My friend Kathleen just finalized the adoptions papers for Miss Margot. She is the sweetest dog! Welcome Miss Margot!

Stamp Set

Here is the stamp set I paid $2.50 for....Originally I posted $2.00 but when I looked back it was $2.50...Anyway, I still do not have these in my hands yet! The person who has them in his presence is a very busy man.....These are his jobs that I know of:

1. Takes kids to school and picks them up
2. Owns several buildings (rentals)
3. Over the police department in the town
4. Runs an agency for special security (He told me, among other things, he does business with the D. Trump man...I don't know if I should believe him or not....)
5. Was asked to be in REO Speedwagon's band when they hit big in the 70-80's (The wife said "Why are you telling these things??" So I am not sure about that one either.)

He is something else!! You never know what is going to come out of his mouth and what to believe when it does but he is really fun...The last thing I can say is he is always and I mean always late. Sometimes a day late, sometimes a few hours late and sometimes he just never shows and forgets. I am afraid he is going to forget that he has my stamps. I have told his cleaning crew the story about him thinking I sent him the stamps (she laughed too) and she said she would remind him. I also have the maintenance man of this building reminding him as well as my boss. Surely, between all of us I will get my stamp set back before they disappear for good.

Dinner Doritos Duartes

Everyone knows I ate dinner at the Duarte's on Saturday night. The big, million dollar question would be, "What did you eat?" Well, it was quite a night! We both coudn't decide if we wanted to eat in or eat out. I didn't care either way so we decided to eat in and start the movie a little earlier. So we had sandwiches. Now this isn't your every day sandwich. This was Laurie Duarte Doritos sandwich!! She showed me how she makes it and I will share the receipe with you right now.

1. Get 2 pieces of bread (sounds normal)
2. Spread mayo (still normal)
3. Add meat (I choose turkey)
4. Add cheese (if desired)
5. Add lettuce (if desired)
6. Grap as many doritos your hand will hold and mash them palms down into your sandwich. (yes you read correctly)
7. Repeat number 6
8. Repeat number 6
9. Yes, repeat number 6 (AGAIN!)
10. Place bread on top of doritos.

It is important to mash them prior to placing the bread on top, I was instructed, otherwise the doriots would poke out of the bread. (this isn't a good thing)

Also, if the doritos fall out of the sandwich, just poke them back in!

I have attached a picture of Laurie's sandwich. I hope each of you will try this at one time or another. I should have put a little more mayo on mine, otherwise it was pretty darn good sandwich!

If you have receipes you would like to share with my readers, please feel free to do so....LOL

I am not ignoring anyone

We all have been sick off and on this past weekend....The only person who hasn't been affected is the little one (thank goodness)...I do think everyone is on the mend.

I haven't been able to post for awhile and discuss dinner on Saturday night. I really don't feel much up to it right now so I will do so tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a good day off...

Dinner Saturday Nite

I am going to talk about my dinner at the Duarte's house next. Boy do they know how to treat a girl! I will talk about it later. Going down to see what is happening with my own family.

This is Christopher Dylan

I call him Dylan but I am confused at times because he goes by both names. (Don't let the confusion full you, I am confused most of the times anyway.) Dylan is the baby boy of the family. He has the sweetest grin you would ever want to see. When I got my camera out, he shined and asked me to take a picture of him. What a ham! The girls are going to fall hard when he gets older.

Serena

This is Laurie's middle child. Serena is the cutest thing! She has freckles around her nose and on her cheeks. She is very sweet and who could not love a little girl who knows how to play hard with the boys! I love her sweet little personality and they way she cuddles right up next to you when you are sitting next to her. She also has beautiful hair. I used to have the same color hair when I was little and I want it back! My hair dresser refused to let me color my hair so dark but I love dark hair. I might have to buy a bottle and do it myself.

Marissa

I sure hope I am spelling this name correctly....This is my friend Laurie's daughter. She is the eldest of her 3. She is such a beautiful girl! The first time I saw her, I thought she looked like someone famous. If I remember correctly (I have forgotten to take my Ginko for the last 2 days...) SIL thought she looked like she was someone famous too or maybe she could be famous.... I think this little girl could go far in life in show business if she so wanted to.

Stayin Alive - Week 2

My friend Kathleen gave me a violet and also some very lovely earrings for my birthday. The reason why I am showing this picture is I will continue to take pictures of the plant just to see how long it will take for me to kill it. Not on purpose mind you, but I just don't seem to have a green thumb. This makes the second week I have had the plant and there still seems to have some blooms on it. I tested the soil and the soil felt dry so I watered it. So week 2...Plant still alive.

This is my friend Laurie

The picture I have posted is not a rat's nests, it is actually the back of Laurie's head. She didn't want me to take a picture of her so this is the best she would let me do. I appreciated that she let me do this!

So I went to her new house last night. They just moved in last week. Her husband had to work a 12 hour shift last night so I went over and we watched the Lord of the Rings (Fellowship), which I had never seen. She seemed pretty dumbfounded that I hadn't seen it yet. In fact, most of the movies she has and has seen, I haven't seen. I usually watch slap stick comedy or artistic movies and normally shy away from action movies. I enjoyed LOTR, however found so much fighting made me anxious and man were those creatures creepy and ugly! It was a good thing there were a couple of men in there to look at, otherwise it would have been a waste for 6 hours..lol.......Anyway I kept saying, "If you don't fast forward through this next fight, I am leaving." She would say it is only a few more minutes....45 minutes later...LOL. I did enjoy the show and hope to be invited back to watch number 2 in about 3 weeks when her husband goes away again. (When the husband is away, the girls and kids will play...) Regarding the movie, I begged her to turn the subtitles on. She said I was a nerd but she did it. (Such a nice friend.) At the end of the evening she said she would more than likely go back and watch number 2 and 3 with subtitles to see what else she missed. *Grin*

I have more pictures of the kids and my meal, which I will post later today. Not feeling so good right now....Later

T G I F - Phew! Did you think it would ever get here?

It is finally here and I am so ready for a 3 day weekend. I have been working on the company website all day and haven't finished it. It really stinks a bunch. I am wordless at the moment and having problems with putting words together to make a statement and one, which would represent what we are trying to do here. Difficult. I am really going to try hard NOT to work on it this weekend. I need rest and I plan to have plenty of it.

Hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

Brain Surgery Continues

This morning I was speaking with owner (hereinafter called My BOSS) of my company and the building owner’s father came through checking on things.

Me: Is your son (building owner) coming in today?

Building Owners Father: Yes he is.

Me: He has my rubber stamps!

My Boss: What? Do you know that the building owner thanked me last week for you sending him stamps?

Me: Now why would I send the owner of this building stamps? I have been messing with the delivery service for over a week because they said they delivered my package. After a week, I find out the building owner has them.

Laughter!

My Boss: I also saw him (building owner) this past Saturday and again, he said, “That was really nice of her (me) to send me those stamps.” Boss said to me, :I thought maybe you had sent him a handmade card." The building owner than said to my boss...“you don’t know anything about those stamps do you?”

Laughter!

Me: The package had MY NAME on it! Why would the building owner think I sent them to him? It had my name on it!

Laughter!

My Boss: I thought it was really weird that you would send him rubber stamps but I wasn’t sure what was going on.

Laughter!

Me: OMG! It was set of 4, I believe one say’s friend, one says love, cherish and thanks….Why would I send an older man with lots of money a stamp set with those words on it? A stamp set! Tell him if you see him this weekend if I get my stamp set back, I will make him a card!

Tears of Laughter!
