My friend Kathleen gave me a violet and also some very lovely earrings for my birthday. The reason why I am showing this picture is I will continue to take pictures of the plant just to see how long it will take for me to kill it. Not on purpose mind you, but I just don't seem to have a green thumb. This makes the second week I have had the plant and there still seems to have some blooms on it. I tested the soil and the soil felt dry so I watered it. So week 2...Plant still alive.

Make sure you water it from the bottom (NOTTHE TOP). It would help if you have it in the sunlight since you don't have a growlight. Maybe SIL will put it in the sunroom.
