I agree, yes, pick off dead leaves, so the plant won't send nutrients to the dead parts, I think. Water from the bottom? How is that done? If you turn the plant over, won't it fall out? You people are too smart for me!
judy, judy, judy.....I thought I raised you better than that! Usually the bottom part of the flowerpot extends further out than the pot (like a little tray) and that is where you put the water. I used to raise the most beautiful african violets. I had them under a grow light but I was the only one who saw them and I got tired of dividing them when they grew so large so I just dumped them.

Yes, pick the dead leaves off. Do not over water, feel of the dirt to see if it is dry and only water from the bottom. Is it getting any sunlight?
