At my friend Maria's house, they put the tooth in a glass of water. When the tooth fairy comes, she puts the change in the water and the water is colored the child's favorite color. Parts of the tooth fairy was off, apparently.
Her youngest of four children lost her first tooth, took the change out in the morning, then drank the water declaring "Now I will get some of the tooth Fairy's power!"
