I need a drink and I don't drink

This class I am taking is not one of my favorites. I am working on team projects for the next few weeks and I am beginning to think I may need to start drinking. I don't know if everyone is trying to be nice so that no one gives them a bad grade or what. Several of the girls are like "okay, okay, okay"...give feedback people! What is going to happen is I am going to be labeled a dictator....and the only thing I am doing is giving suggestions and then ask for what other people thoughts are. "Okay, okay, okay is not an answer." The only guy on the team doesn't sign in but maybe 2 times a week and then gets ticked off and has strong suggestions for the team. I was voted team leader and another gal asked if we could dual share the role. I don't' want to be team leader every week....and she hasn't done anything to lead the group with me this week...she hasn't even posted her assignment like she was supposed to do. I think the team leader should rotate from week to week. I suggested this but no one commented. One person said they thought we were doing a good job at being team leaders. That wasn't what I asked. I asked and suggested ideas for coming up with how we should go about picking a new team leader each week. I don't think being a team leader means making all decisions. I think it means making sure each member stays on track or target with tasks determined and made by the group. Of course there are other things a leader should do but dictate is not one of them. I hope the team project goes smoother than it has this week because I don't know if I can deal with these people each week if it doesn't get easier. I don't want to be a dictator or labeled as such but I won't settle for a bad grade because of others not participating either.

Tuesday Blues

A friend and I were going to go on a rode trip to South Carolina. Her boss kept messing with her and wouldn't tell her if she could have 3 days off work. "We will talk about it later, we will talk about it at 11, we will talk about it after you get back from lunch..." After hearing all my friends struggles, I am feeling really sorry for her. I knew that her boss was a witch and controlling but really...come on...you know if you are going to give someone time off or not. The boss kept saying, "Are you sure your husband is going to let you go?" "How about your kids? Who is going to take care of them?...and on and on...I was like "IS IT NONE OF HER BUSINESS...My friend told me how controlling, among other things she was...but I guess I just didn't have any idea. My friend is looking for a new job (among everyone else in her office, to get AWAY of this boss). She is currently an administrative assistant but she has her CNA licence for Indiana. She is going to school for nursing too. She is very capable so if anyone know of a place hiring, she is needing a new job. She lives in Noblesville so a 20 mile radius of Noblesville would be awesome!

So I have the blues. I felt like a puppet on a string waiting to hear. I don't want to go on a trip that far without company so I won't be going either.

On a side note, I believe everything happens for a reason...so I am trying to stay open to knowing I wasn't supposed to be going at this time. It just stinks because it seemed like everything was going to work out and didn't.

How is your Tuesday?

I Quit!

Well, I did technically quit, but I did give notice. Since I am about to start St V's I quit the terrible, awful, hurt my head, neck, shoulders and back job. Today was my very last day there and I WILL NOT MISS IT! There is a new guy who has been there for about 3 days now. I heard him ask if it was okay to switch chairs as his back was hurting and he thought it was the chair. I wanted to say, "IT IS NOT THE CHAIR!", but I held my tongue. Soon enough he will know it to be true. I saw a girl diagonal from me, her name was Shannon and she was stretching and stretching her neck. I felt so bad for all the good and decent people who are working there. I hope they find something too. I was left to do the dirty job today. The worst job, at least in my opinion. I had to hold my head down all day...8 hours of looking down, putting checks together with invoices and then in alphabetical order. I think the manager was being mean on purpose. I never let up with my job duties. I fulfilled them with gust and the best I could, but it seems it wasn't good enough. The manager came up to me and told me I need to have all the checks sorted by noon. I just looked at her. It wasn't like I wasn't working the entire time or chit chatting or anything. I was sitting there doing my job as quickly as I could and she came up to me and said that. I just looked at her like she was a total loon. I think secretly she was mad I was leaving. The day I gave my notice, I heard the head boss tell her I was leaving and she said NO NOT HER. So I think she wasn't real happy I left. You know with all the training I had and all...(all one and a half minutes!)

This is the last post I will EVER post about this job!

Hurting

I can't believe how badly I feel! My shoulders, neck and back are a complete mess! It is because I SIT ALL FREAKING DAY now! I know there are other people in the same shape because I see them wiggle around too! The job just isn't healthy for any of us! I want out! I want a good job! I want one which will not HURT!

Is that sound coming from my head?

I forgot to tell you about that awful sound. The second day I was working there I asked the most friendliest person (Angie) if the sound I was hearing was coming from my head or if others could hear it too. She assured me that it was an awful sound and unfortunately everyone could hear it. She said when it turns off, everyone makes a sound of relief. It reminds me of a concentration camp for some reason...sometimes they will turn off the awful sound so that when it comes back on, you go crazy. The sound did go off yesterday and I was like "YES! That is much better!" Only to find in a short while the sound came back. Now, at home and anywhere I am, my ears are hearing sounds. I think I am picking up radio waves and other high pitched sounds and it is driving me insane!

I made it through the wilderness.....

Somehow I made it through...and survived what I can say one of the worst grueling work weeks ever. What I find amazing is I had Monday off, out for 2 hours on Wednesday for an interview and the out at 1:15 on Friday for an interview! How am I going to survive a 40 hour week? My neck, shoulders are a mess and my back feels like a board! I went walking last night even though all I wanted to do was lay down and sleep. Now, it is 1:30 a.m. and I can't sleep at all but I am exhausted!!! The worse part is my school studies. It is the last thing I want to do is read when I come home. I still have 2 chapters yet to read and a test to take by Saturday night!

The job interviews were awesome. Interviews were for a first and second interview at the same place this week....I was told my references would be called...I won't count my chickens before they are hatched but I sure want this job a great deal! It is something I could do and be good at as well as move up into other areas in the company....more on this after I am given an offer...and I mean more than a verbal offer!

Jack AWFUL Nasty

I am talking about the job.

I have never worked for a factory before but I think this is what it feels like. Yesterday the boss told me 10,000 units to be paid. I only had about 2 minutes training on the computer system so I am learning as I go on my own. There are 3 of us, and my brother figured out it would be about 8 seconds each transaction in order to do 10,000. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 .... seconds....No way in HELL! The computer DOESN'T go that fast! You have to look up each account in a database and it takes forever! Also, the computers CRASHED 3 times yesterday...that doesn't count how many times our computer screen FREEZES when we are in between screens. This is hell. I can't wait to get a full-time job so I can get out of this place.

Side note...I am happy to be working and having money coming in. So don't think I am ungrateful. I just can't understand the environment and everyone is so UNHAPPY! You think??

Lots to discuss but oh so tired!

First day on the job and my eyes are killing me! So is my neck. I had to look down and sort invoices/checks all day. Then I had to come home and do homework. Good news about school...I had an assignment due and had to do several days of discussion last week and got 49 out of 50 and 50 out of 50 for each! Can't beat that with a stick. Hope I can continue. Tonight I had about an hour of work to do and being on the computer is the last thing I want to do but had to do it. I still have 2 chapters to read (25 pages for each chapter), a discussion to do and a quiz to take! H E L P!

Work was weird. There are many desks in one big room, yet no ones know each others names. More later....I only slept about 4 hours last night so I am tired and it is time for BED!

job

I have a job starting tomorrow. I will be working for a temp agency. The weird news is that is at where Paul and 80 of his friends were laid off several years ago. I am really happy to be employed, even though I don't know for how long. I will keep looking and interviewing and actually have 2 new interviews this week ... but the company will work around me interviewing! That is good news. The bad news is me and my friend will no longer be able to have breakfast and a movie during working hours now. That is a bummer!

Daylight Saving Time

Really dislike changing the clocks and losing an hour. Feels like someone has taken something from me...and this something is not replaceable...time. Okay, I understand the give and take of the hour...I just don't like getting up and finding it is an hour later than what I had thought even though I knew it was coming. I read online that it doesn't save $$ as the politicians told us it would. Go figure. Politician lied...who would have thought?

On another note, I had the worse headache I have had in a long time yesterday. When I say yesterday, I mean Y E S T E R D A Y and I mean ALL DAY!! I fell asleep upstairs in a chair several times then when downstairs to the theatre room but kept being woke up. I finally had enough and went to bed at 11:30. I haven't been going to bed until after midnight or ever 2, 3 o'clock in the morning...(side note...I still wake up before 8 a.m.!!!) but I couldn't take it any more. BOY did I have dreams! I don't remember much of the dreams but I remember dreaming. Feeling better today but still feel a little like a headache could pop up anytime. My neck and shoulders hurt really bad. I think the headache is from stress in those areas.

Oh No Say It Isn't So

All I hear is negative, negative, negative with politics. My question remains...if everyone is so unhappy with the way things are going and they are excited about the "new change", which is coming then why is everyone afraid of what is coming? I am out of a job and my brothers company just laid off another batch of 30 something people. If everyone is so unhappy with the way things are, and want a change and know change is coming then why are they so afraid? I was told people are afraid to spend money right now, which causes a recession because they are afraid of what is coming....but if they are unhappy now and they want the change, then why be so freaking afraid of it? More than likely I am not communicating what I am thinking very well because it makes me so mad I have a hard time spitting out what I want to say...so forgive my ranting.

I went and helped the economy today. My friend Judy and I met up with a couple friends and we ate at Gray's Cafeteria. YUMMY! Had some good ole' fried chicken! I normally eat chicken, corn and mashed potatoes (starch, starch, starch) and then go into a food comma but decided today to forgo the corn. It just wasn't the same but I didn't miss the comma one bit!

I am still looking for a job! I applied for over 10 positions within the last 2 days. I hope the job postings keep coming so that I have jobs to apply for! I am PRAYING AND PRAYING something comes soon!

Bad Job Hunting

Yesterday I only found one job and today I only found one job to apply for. I am not totally sure these are jobs I want to do but believe I should search them out any way. You never know. I am just disappointed in finding so few available. Something will come my way, I know it. I just wish it was on my terms and not the terms of the universe.

No Student Left Behind? I am with stupid!

After going through my orientation for school today, I can see where many, many and I mean many people have been left behind academically. People were NOT paying attention. They were asking the same questions over and over and over and I just couldn't believe it. How in the world do these people even find their way out of their bed and blankets each day? Is this really how the world is? Is the world really raising ignorant and spoiled children who are this stupid? I have heard it many times and I have seen it a few times but it slapped me in the face today. I am not saying teachers aren't teaching..or trying to teach...I am saying maybe many of these students just aren't learning....something is definitely WRONG with society!

Friends in the wrong places?

I didn't hear from my friend about the accounting job today. *Sigh*

Thursday, February 28, 2008

I got friends in the right places

I am not getting my hopes up, okay so I am getting them up...I have a friend who is in human resources and they have an accounting postion open. She is going to get the information and call me tomorrow (Friday). The company is in Carmel and located less than 15 minutes from my home. She LOVES her job and the people she is working for are really nice.

Everyone please send some prayers up for me, if you please...I need all the help I can get.

Bitter is the new me

Well, not exactly bitter...Remember the book "Bitter is the new black?" I know most of us have read this hilarious book and I can now relate to this gal's struggles. For those of you who haven't read the book, it is about a woman who loses her job and finds her self over qualified for everything she applies for. It takes her awhile but she realizes her life has changed and she can no longer afford the luxuries she once thought were necessities. I am right there with this gal. One of the things which keeps me going, unlike her, is knowing that I won't lose my home because of this. I am luckily enough to have loving family to love and support me and wouldn't see me living in my car and/or street.

Why am I writing this?? Well, I contacted Clarian and was told the manager decided to go in a different direction. I said, "I was told I had a verbal offer and a formal offer would be forthcoming..." She said,..."Yes, and your references came back fine.., however the manager decided to go a different direction." WHAT? I was speechless. What happened? I emailed a friend of mine and she wrote this to me:

I do have Family that is working for Clarion. I can understand what they are doing and that is all of a sudden they are looking at all depts and programs and deciding to cut back and not fill postions that they have. My neice and her boss are doing that right now and adding the work to other people job descriptions.

Back to the drawing board for me.

Temp and Clarian

The temp agency called and wants to send me on another interview...this job is in Westfield. I am really, really tired of interviewing. She said they only want to pay $13 an hour but she wants to go in at $15 an hour. This is what she has done for the last 2 interviews I went to. If they only wanted to pay $10, she went in at $12 or $13 for me...if they only wanted to pay $15 she asked for $17 for me but she goes in with the other candidates for the price they want to pay. I thank her for wanting me to make more but I am not getting the jobs. You see, the agency normally sends 2 or 3 resumes over with pricing. We all get interviews but since my price is always higher than everyone else, I don't get the job especially if we are all qualified and they wouldn't send someone over who wasn't qualified! I am a good at interviewing. I open up and I can get along and answer questions like a pro. I know what employers are wanting people to say. I know how to answer and would win an academy award if it came right down to it. The agency always sends feedback and it is always the same..."They really liked you...they thought you were very personable and pleasant but choose the other candidate"...So I don't think the temp agency should go in at a higher price than what they want the employer wants to pay OR if she should send all the resumes over for the same HIGHER price and see what happens.

I haven't heard from Clarian yet and today I didn't have a very good day because I am getting worried about it. I have really been going with the flow and not getting upset or uptight but I was a little down today. I don't like this feeling! I hope to have a job offer this week!

Me and You and Everyone We Know

Me and You and Everyone We Know----This is a very weird movie but I enjoyed it! I love poetic and artsy films...something out of the ordinary and not expected. I watched this movie today.

I got a call from Clarian Health today. They need one more reference so I gave them two more to contact. I can't wait to see where I am going to be working and what I am going to do and when! How about how much I am going to be paid? That is important too! This waiting is a killer....

It's been a birthday weekend!

Today was my mothers birthday...and as my friend Laurie would say..."She turned 30/31"...(add together to get age). In my family, the birthday person gets to pick where they want to go to eat to celebrate. By looking at the pictures can you guess what South side restaurant we went to? It is a top 10 restaurant for Indy. They say the cows give the name and location away.

The food was FAB! If you ordered from the dinner menu they start you out with homemade onion soup! I have never been a big fan of onion soup until I had it at my cousin Karen's house. She made from scratch and it was the best...this is a close second (or third) so I have to say it was pretty darn good! Then after soup is finished, they serve a very nice salad! It had lots of veggies and was very good too. I order a steak! I could have cut it with my spoon and I even ordered it medium well...so you know it had to be good! The dinner also came with bread and a choice of side. Lots of goodies to eat at this reaturant! In fact, I may want to choose it for my special day! Good choice mom!

On a side note...on the way to my parents home, Maggie told me she wished she could go ice skating because she had "moves". You see, we watched Ice Princess on Disney the other night and afterwards she got up and danced and twirlled. Daddy told her she had some great moves. One of the cutest moves is when she tries to jump and spin in the air with her hands above her head! Love it!

Cute things from yesterday

I gave my friend Becky yesterday a pair of ear rings and a bracelet I had made. I wasn't sure if she would like the bracelet so I brought an alternative for her to choose from. As we were sitting there, she stated I should sell the jewelry I was making and I explained I was only doing it for myself and to give as gifts. She kept pushing and pushing asking how much I would charge for a bracelet and I finally asked her why and she said she wanted to buy the other bracelet I had brought. I asked her if it was for herself and she said of course it was. She wanted both bracelets. I told her she could have them both at no charge...I wasn't going to sell jewelry. She was so excited and giggled. I told her I would have to cut down the length of the other bracelet down as it was a 7 1/2 length and she wears a 6 1/2. (The first bracelet I had made smaller.) So she was very excited and then her face lit up and she asked..."With the extra pieces you are cutting down from the bracelet, could you then make me ear rings?" Thanks for asking Becky! I would love to make you more! This made me feel good to know she really did like what I had given her.

Last night Uncle Daniel and Grandma French came over. Maggie gets SO excited when Uncle Daniel comes over. While we were sitting at the table, I asked Maggie..."What does Uncle Daniel have that I don't? Why don't you like me as much as you like him?"

Her response....

"Auntie, I like you both the same!" (That was a brilliant response for a 6 year old!)

Oh Maggie, could I love you any more?

Birthday

Today is my oldest and one of my dearest friends birthday. Becky Werhle and I have been friends since kindergarden and have remain friends during all those years. We were fortunate enough to live in the same area the entire time we were growing up, which allowed us to stay at the same school district. Ater school, and even though we were living on opposite sides of the city, we made an effort to see each other every few months. It is really amazing to have a bond with someone, which is so deep. I know all about her and her family (not just her husband and kids...but her sisters and brothers and nieces and nephews too!) and she knows all about mine. Even in all the crazy filled days of our lives, we are there for each other and never judge. It is such a wonderful feeling!

Here is to you Becky! Happy 42nd Birthday! May you have many, many blessed more!

New Job Offer and School

2 things happened today...

#1...I have a pending job offer from Clarian Health. Where the job is located I am not sure. I sure hope it is at Clarian North and NOT Methodist, IU or Riley (Downtown)...Why do I say pending? Clarian has to call my references. I hope I put some good ones down. To bad I don't remember who I listed so I could bribe them. (HAHA...just kidding) After my references are called a formal offer will be sent to me.

#2...I offically start my accounting degree on March 3rd. I am going to attend DeVry University located here in Indianapolis.

I still have still have an interview to go to tomorrow. It will be the 3rd and final interview. Stay tuned.

Today's Interview

I am becoming a professional interview person! I had another interview today. I don't want to jinx myself..so I am not going to say much about it. The guy said I was over qualified...but he said everyone was over qualified in the positions they were in right now...this new job is a start up company but isn't a start up company...A larger company owns it...hard for me to explain so I won't right now. It is currently in Fishers, on 96th Street but will be moved to 75th and Shadeland in about a month.

I was called back for a 3rd interview for Thursday for a different position. OMG 3rd interview....

That is it for now.

MONDAY

What am I doing right now? Listening and watching Maggie play Guitar Hero. Every time she plays, she gets better and better. I just love watching her. It is the cutest thing to see her play. She gets over 70 something percent of the song and normally can do a 50 play streak...pretty good for being 6...especially since her little hands don't go around the neck of the guitar and she plays the guitar backwards to accomidate!

This morning when I got up Maggie asked me if I wanted her to fix me breakfast. "I know how" she what she said. She first asked me if I wanted toast. I asked her how she would fix it and she said she would put it in the toast and let it get black. Very cute! She mentioned a couple other things she could make...I decided to just drink my water.

I am hoping to hear back from one of the many interviews I had last week, today or tomorrow. I am ready to go back to work and make some money!

Dummy It Up?

I recieved the call from this morning's interview. While I was in their top 5, they decided only to send the top 3 downtown for a second interview...blah blah heard it all before. He said the reason why I wasn't chosen was because he and the HR Mgr didn't believe I would be happy in one job...doing it day in and day out...every day. Blah blah...he is right...I wouldn't have been happy but it would at least paid the bills. I NEVER say anything like this but they can see from my resume, I have done lots of things...So, I can understand their throught process...don't want to hire someone to stay for a few months then move on. Bad for business....so now I wonder if the jobs I applied for at the hospital is going to come back the same exact way. I am really thinking I should dummy down myself and my resume. I just don't know what to do or think. I am not depressed over the situation, just tired of interviewing....ya know?

Also, another reason this job this morning wasn't great for me is because they don't offer tution assistance for additional schooling...I don't want to make pennies for the rest of my life so I wanted to go back into the medical field so that they would help pay...

NEXT!

Last Interview For The Week

It went well...they had over 200 people apply for the job...the one and only job they have open. They called in 20 for interviews and I was one of the 20. I was amazed and excited I got the opportunity to interview. They will pick a couple people from the 20 and send them downtown to do a second interview on Monday. Second interivews drive me crazy and yet again, I would have to drive downtown Indy.

So I sit and I wait.

It's 4:27 AM

I
can
not
sleep.

Nursing Baby

3 Down 1 To Go

Here is the scoop!

The first interview of the day was a call back. I got there early so I sat in my car and slept. (I can sleep anywhere). There were 2 guys who interviewed me this time...it was the two owners. One of the owners is from England and has that great accent. The other one is a hippie. He even said he was and he still looks like he is one. I wonder if he still gets stoned every night or if he is just slow in nature. I was told at the end of the meeting that the first interview was conducted by the consultant, she then decided who would come in for the second interview to meet each owner...then the last interview...this is when I wanted to scream...would be held next week. They would discuss tomorrow who to call back. After we talked some more and I shook his hand to leave he said, "I will be seeing you next week." I don't know if he was saying I would be called back yet a 3rd time or if he was just being nice.

The last 2 interviews were at a hospital downtown. I got there early so I sat in the nice lobby. There is a piano, one which plays itself, in the lobby so I sat in the nice and comfy chairs and listened to the player and watched people come and go (for over 45 minutes...I said I was early!) Wow! People do come and go at that hospital! Anyway, about 10-15 minutes before my interivew I walked to the department to have my interview and check in. The gal who announced me to the interviewer came back out to me and said "You already have 2 thumbs up!" I asked why and she said the interviewers were so surprised and happy that I was on time let alone early! I was shocked. She said most people are late....anyway...the interview went great....better than great really. In the end I asked if I needed to do anything or what I was lacking in order to be hired and I was told I needed to do nothing...as far as they were concerned I was a perfect fit for the job. I was told I would hear something next week....hurray! Then I was asked what job I was being interviewed for tomorrow at the same hospital...I told them I had NO IDEA and we all laughed. I said, HR called me so many times yesterday and they didn't tell me. I just took the interviews and they gave me the times to be when and were!

I sure hope to get a job at the hospital, which is 3.3 miles away from home! The pay is well, I don't want to go there...but there is something about being close to home and awesome benefits!

I guess I will know more next week. Stay tuned to this channel!

Lifting Baby

I have recevied so many of these and think they are so funny! I will post a few here and there whenever I get the chance.

Ebay and Cracking Like An Egg

Those markers are now over $70 bucks! I am very excited!

Today is going to be a big day for me. With 3 interviews I hope I can hold up and not crack under all the questions.

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

OH WOW!

Here is the newest and greatest update! I have a second interview with the job, which I bombed the test on yesterday tomorrow at 2 PM. Then I have 2 interviews for Clarian Health tomorrow night at 5 PM. On Friday, I have another interview at 9:30 AM for yet another job at Clarian. There are 3 jobs open at Clarian and each of the managers want to interview me! I am very happy to get this opportunity...No doubt I will be exhausted by the end of it all! Normally one interview is enough for me to want to lay down afterwards. Now I have 4 within the next 2 days. PHEW!

2 at Clarian North

I just got another call....well, actually 3 today from the recruitment department..there is another manager who is interested and wants to meet with me. Looks like I may have 2 interviews on Friday with CH! Cowabunga!

Incredible!

I got a call from the place I interviewed with yesterday (the one which I failed the test!) and they have called me back for a second interview tomorrow at 2 PM. They must be desperate but I am so happy for the chance! I have an interivew with Clarian North on Friday at 9:30 a.m. I also should hear from St V's within the next few days. It would be awesome if I had my choice of the 3 jobs to choose from. I wouldn't necessarily choose the one, which offers the most $ because benefits mean a lot to me!

Bad Interview

Well, the talking part went well but the test didn't go well AT ALL. The test was 3 pages...I didn't know what FF&E meant. I never seen this before. It wasn't in the book I bought and it wasn't on any of the thousands of websites I have been on. So I couldn't finish the test in the time given. Each page had this listed and on the last 2 pages, I had to write general entries using FF&E. The last page I had to do T journaling and once again it had FF&E...at the bottom, I had to give totals. Since I didn't know FF&E, I couldn't even start. I called my friend Luci on the way home. She has been a bookkeeper for 10 years and never heard of the term. She looked on the web and couldn't find anything. When I asked the lady I was interviewing for what it stood for she looked shocked...

I did get a call today from Clarian North...they want me to come in for an interview...my phone interview was yesterday. A big $12 bucks an hour. Nice, 41 years old and I may be able to get a job at a pay rate I had 15 years ago...

Today is the day

I have a very important inteview today. The only issue with the interview is with the testing. I am afraid of the test. I can do the work, I just don't do well on the test. To bad the test isn't in typing or something like that...it is accounting and I still don't know all the principles of accounting and I have been studying off and on for almost 3 days.

Maggie is STILL sick! She is coughing something fierce. Her temp was right under 100 degrees but she woke up crying. Makes me sad!

I will update blog after interview....

Oops!

I meant to say "Jack" Nasty Virus...not nasty jack virus.

I am getting ready for my interview tomorrow! I am looking forward to getting the job.....

Phone Interview Today

THEY FINALLY CALLED! CLARION HEALTH CALLED AND WANTS TO DO A PHONE INTERVIEW!! Today at 2:00 p.m. Hip Hip Hurray!

I took Maggie to doctor. She does not have strep or a urine infection. Dr. went ahead and ordered an xray of her chest because she refused to breathe. He was checking to make sure she doesn't have phenumonia. Should know by the end of the day. Dr. believes she has the nasty jack virus going around. There were lots of kids in the office with the same issues. We even seen a child in the xray waiting area...the same as us.

I have a good feeling. I think I will have a job by the end of the month. Won't it be great to have a few to choose from?

Goodness

I am taking Maggie to see MD at 10:45...Mommy should be rid of those darn kids at 11:00 so she plans to meet me there (Inside joke about being rid of the kids...)

Price of markers on sale on ebay continue to go up! LOVIN' IT! Hello money...good bye markers (which I never use!!) I wonder what else I can sell..........

It's Monday

My little niece is still SICK and still running a fever. She had to stay home from school on Friday. She laid around all weekend...and since she wasn't fever free for 24 hours (still running fever today too) she had to stay home today. Mommy is working half day and will be taking her to MD this afternoon...AT LEAST the "fluid" isn't coming out her mouth!!...but coughing seems to be worse today. It breaks my heart to see her so limpless!!

I have been studying for my accounting test tomorrow. Feeling better about things since I got a workbook. Just hope I can remember what I have learned today for tomorrow...HAHA!!

Help Me Rhonda, Help Help Me Rhonda!

Although thankful for it...I have another interview on Tuesday at 1 PM. Bookkeeping position...something I can do. My only issue is they want me to take an accounting test...UGH! I can do the work, I just don't know all the "proper terms" like Principle of continuity and words like that. Seems simple but normally they describe things in story telling mode. I never did to well with story problems. SO...I went to Barnes and Noble and purchased a book with quizes. I hope to get through the entire 300 some pages by Tuesday! WISH ME LUCK!

Markers on ebay are over 40 bucks! Go me!

Major

Bad headache today! Whew! I can't believe it is over. It took forever. I think the stress of the week got to me and wham bam it took the form of an awful pain in my sinuses. I wouldn't wish headaches on anyone!

I have a new love. I purchased beads about 4 years ago and with my SIL making bracelets I got my beads out. I have re-strung some old bracelets into new ones using both the old parts and the beads I had already purchased and I have found I love wearing them again! I have crafted old into new and it has been really fun!

I also made a bracelet and necklace for one of my friends daughter...my friend doesn't wear jewerly but her tween does! Pictures forthcoming!

No Job For Me!

With a 50/50 chance, I didn't get offered the position. That really blows.

I am still going at it and applying for everything I am qualified for and hope someone will decide to hire me.

I still have no regrets leaving the other company. Maybe some think I should but I don't. I wasn't being treated right and for one of the first times in my life I stood up for myself. I am very proud of doing it too.

Wednesday Night

Tonight I went to stamp camp. There are several women who work at the different hosptials and I was told to apply every week at the hospitals and if necessary, call every week. I was told Riley needed help despartely. I don't want to have to drive that far...but will do so to get my foot in the door if it comes to it.

Tomorrow (Thursday) I have an interview at 10:00 a.m. It is a temp position for 10 weeks. It is on the NW side of Indy. I prefer the NE or N but will take what I can get at this point. The job pays well. I am really wondering if it is a temp position because the company I am going to had an ad for the exact position I am interviewing for. I just wonder if they had a hard time finding candidates and are going the temp to hire route but hasn't let on. I will do my best in the interview...put on a smile and be the best interviewer I can be. It is so exhausting!

I should know about the St V's job in about 4-10 days. I think I would like that job because they pay their people to go to collage. I need to get a degree in something! Maybe nursing would be a good thing for me...I don't know.

Two Calls Today

One phone interview and one interview. The second is a 10 week assignment. I sure wish I knew if I had the job at St V's or not. If I don't get the job, I wouldn't take a 10 week assignment...I don't want to take a temp job and have to quit after I said I would do it for 10 weeks...it just isn't right. If I get the St. V's job a temp job until it started would be awesome.

I just have to let it go and what will be will be.

Hold The Ice

http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?s=7803915

I hope this link is still a good one.

Thanks mom for passing it on to me.

Another One Bites The Dust

The job, which I was over qualified for was passed onto a person for which the job would be a "step up" and not step down (For me it would be down). The practice administrator asked if she could pass my resume on with her online network and of course I said yes. I am very discouraged right now. I know it will pass but right now I feel like crap. I am seriously thinking I should "dumby down" my resume.

Take a look at this

Thursday's Interview

Went okay...

I am her top candidate but she is afraid to offer me the job...

She believes something else will come my way and OFF I will be...

I don't know if I will be offered the job or not...

She can't decide.

Interview Today

The interview went well. The only problem is the job doesn't start until May...maybe even June depending on construction. The hospital is consolidating the orthopaedic units into one facility. I would be responsible for A LOT!!!! I won't know if I will be given the job until 2 - 3 weeks. I asked what would hold me back from getting the job and was told the only thing would be if another candidate came in with IN HOSPITAL experience and had all the other experience I had, then I wouldn't get the position...

Being without a job until May is not acceptable. I am working with a temp agency but I haven't had an assignment yet.

I am really working on keeping my hopes high and not be discouraged....it is getting harder and harder by the day.

Two This Week

I got a call from St V Carmel for the Orthopaedics Dept today for an interview. This wouldn't be but 5 minutes from my house! I am not sure what the job is...I don't know how much it pays...I know very little about it. What I do know is orthopaedics since I worked for surgeons for 8 years. This job is an administrative assistant for the orthopaedics department. Yet, I still know NOTHING about the job itself. I will be interviewing with the depart head tomorrow. Wish me LUCK!

Thursday, I have another one scheduled at an ear surgeons office. The pay is only $13 an hour (I don't know if I would have to pay for parking) but I don't have a job paying anything an hour so that beats a stick to the head. The job is being a receptionist for the front office. You know the job I am talking about..."Do you have any new insurance cards?" etc... I know I am over qualified but it could be a paying gig so have to do what I have to do...

The neurosurgeons office I interviewed for last week is only $13 an hour too but I would have to pay to park (almost $40 a month). Health benefits are good but the job really isn't something I think I would enjoy...AT ALL...but there again...I don't have any money coming in....

Interview Call

One of the places I sent my resume in called for an interview. The pay isn't great...but it is a tad and I mean..just a little bit more than what I was being paid by the door co. I am supposed to call on Monday morning to set up something.

Friday at school

Today I learned a child in Maggie's class said something hateful about her in front of her class. It was a child, who is always in trouble at school. He is also a boy who has his own special ed teacher to help him....however his words still stung.

He was on the same gym team as Maggie and apparently they didn't win the game. He announced it was her fault because she was little and the she had small legs...maybe even something about not being able to run. The boy was sent to the principals office but neverless, the deed was done and what was said was said. I know I can't protect her all the time. I know kids are kids. I know this was the first of many but it hurt my heart neverless.

I want to knock the crap out of this little boy. I know I am going to have to really think about my reaction and really let this go. I just get so crazy when people aren't nice to her. She has already been through a lot and it really makes me mad.

No Interviews

I do not have any more interviews scheduled. I am trying not to panic. I know I will find something I just wish it was now, instead of later.

Does anyone know someone who could help me with St. Vincent's or Clarian North? I have applied for several jobs open there, which I am capable of doing and have done in the past...but have yet to receive a call for an interview. I am confused as to why it is taking so long. HELP!

When You Know Your Feet Stink.

Thanks to Ariel for sending this one to me!

Interview Touchdown

I had a good interview today. I will be shocked if I am not offered the job but stranger things have happened. The only issue is I don't know if I am interested in the job. It doesn't pay well AT ALL but sitting and working doesn't pay ANYTHING so I must remember that too.

I did take my typing test at St. V's today and I rocked that. The minimum typing score for the executive assistant position I took was 60 WPM and I typed over 70. So that was good.

I got home and the temp agency called and wanted to talk to me. They said they may have a position for me. I will call them back tomorrow in between job interviews.

I knew all the opportunities would come at once. I just hope I pick the best one for me. I want to stay someplace forever and ever. I don't want to have to go through all this interviewing ever again.... (unless it is within a company I am already employed with and just trying for advancement.)

That's all folks!

Interviews and Oprah

I have an interview on Monday and while I am over near St. V's I will go ahead and take a typing test I have been putting off. On Tuesday, I have another "Temporary" interview I am going to in the morning. The temporary position is for only 3 weeks but it is a paycheck. I have a lady who needs data entry and formulas put into an excel spreadsheet...so after she and I meet on Tuesday, if I believe I can do, the job will be mine. It is great hope I will get a interview at either St V's or Clarian North this week too. I have applied for 2 different positions at both of these places and I am more than capable to do either of these jobs. What is taking them so long to call me is what I want to know. It is has been, like 3 days since I applied....LOL!!

I was reading my book today and fell asleep...in my dream Oprah came to me and said I needed to network more and I needed to look and see if there were upcoming events I could network with. Oprah is everywhere these days!!! I then learned Lynn C was talking to a neighbor or something and may have something and she should know more on Monday. If something comes of this, Lynn is going to get a nice dinner from me!!

Health Care

Thanks, although surprised, to my Mom for sending me this one!

Japanese doctor says, "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him out looking for work in six weeks."

A German doctor says, "That is nothing. We can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him out looking for work in four weeks."

A British doctor says, "In my country medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have both of them out looking for work in two weeks."

The American doctor, not to be outdone, interjected, "You guys are way behind. We are about to take a woman with no brains, put her in the White House, and then half the country will be out looking for work."

Herbie drives me bananas

We have the entire collection of "Herbie"...last night, it only took about 10 minutes before I fell asleep during Herbie Goes Banana's. I try so hard not to fall asleep but those chairs are so comfortable and it is dark and the movies are so darn boring! Maggie loves them and I want to stay up and watch them with her but I just can't and it drives me BANANAS!

Job Interview Today

I have an interview at 3 p.m. today. It is here in Westfield so it is my hope it goes well. I am pretty nervous about it. I know I shouldn't be but I am. I also have an interview on Wednesday. It is my great hope, I will have several more interviews by the end of the month so I would have a good source of jobs to choose from. I would really like to be employed again within the next 2 weeks. That would be my goal. I am sure some of you are worried for me (mom and dad) but let me say, financially I am OKAY right now.

Monday Morning - Why am I UP so early?

I ended up going to the emergency care last evening. I have a stack of diagnoses but on top of that, I got good drugs. Hopefully, this will be the LAST time I am sick for awhile.

I couldn't talk AT ALL so I had my mom call my boss. She told him I had NO VOICE but if he wanted to talk to me, I was sitting next to her and I could listen. I know when I was in charge of employees, I wanted to hear from THEM, not their boyfriends, girlfriends and certainly never their mother...but he was cool with it. Mom said he sounded confused.

I was up most of the night. I found my room to be very hot. My mom said the steroids I am on will give me hot flashes. I think thinking about that made me hot. My hair felt so wet and gross and I never sweat like that. I wonder what was going on...

Well, I must be off now. I think I will go sweat some more because after looking for jobs for almost an hour online, I am tired again.

UGH

It is almost 10 am and I haven't heard if boss is coming in.  What does this mean to me?  Well, it means if I have to go to the bathroom, I must run, jump and hurry and do it.  The worse part means I won't get a BREAK or a LUNCH because I failed to bring anything in.

My Own Personal Ad

I am thinking about taking out an ad in one of the business magazines for the Indianapolis area....Not a personal ad like ...single, white, female looking for...but what I am looking for in a job and a boss and what kind of employee I am. I am wondering if I would get any hits for prospects....

I could call it Desperately Seeking Career....or...what would you call it?

Sending Them Up

Lord, please help me get through the next 4 hours quickly.  I realize these are 4 hours I am asking to swiftly pass by me and I will never get these 4 hours back in my lifetime.  I am, however, ready to go ballistic sitting here at work.

Amen.

It happened yet again

Not more than 10 minutes after owner came in, I had a complete coughing, getting sick in toliet issue.

What do you think?  Allergic to boss?

Wednesday, January 02, 2008

Allergies or Allergic to SOMEONE?

I woke up unable to speak a word out of my voice today.  I took an allergy pill and also Muncinx and seem to be working pretty well.  I didn't sneeze or cough AT ALL!

Around 10ish....boss man came in and immediately I started choking!  Could this be that I am allergic to him???  Or maybe SICK OF HIM!  TEE HEE!!  At any rate, it wasn't fun!  I couldn't believe it....I am sure it was the Muncinx working and it just came loose at the same time...but we will see.  He as left for a little while...will I have another attack when he comes back in???

Evil Eye! Sure is funny!

My Job Style

I took a test online to see what kind of jobs I would like...this pretty much hits me on the head!

People with yellow Interests like job responsibilities that include organizing and systematizing, and professions that are detail-oriented, predictable, and objective. People with yellow Interests enjoy activities that include: ordering, numbering, scheduling, systematizing, preserving, maintaining, measuring, specifying details, and archiving, which often lead to work in research, banking, accounting, systems analysis, tax law, finance, government work, and engineering.

People with blue styles prefer to perform their job responsibilities in a manner that is supportive and helpful to others with a minimum of confrontation. They prefer to work where they have time to think things through before acting. People with blue style tend to be insightful, reflective, selectively sociable, creative, thoughtful, emotional, imaginative, and sensitive. Usually they thrive in a cutting edge, informally paced, future-oriented environment. You will want to choose a work environment or career path in which your style is welcomed and produces results.

I have said this before!

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone die, who you didn't know, leave you some money? I have said this on more than one occasion. I certainly don't want to wish bad luck on anyone but this would be a fantastic surprise!

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - For nearly seven years Melina Salazar did her best to put on a smile and tend to the every need of her most loyal and cantankerous customer.

She made sure his food was as hot as he wanted, even if it meant he burned his mouth. And she smiled through his demands and curses. The 89-year-old Walter "Buck" Swords obviously appreciated it, leaving the waitress $50,000 and a 2000 Buick when he died.

"I still can't believe it," the Luby's cafeteria employee told Harlingen television station KGBT-TV in an interview during which she described Swords as "kind of mean."

Swords, a World War II veteran, died in July. But Salazar learned just a few days before Christmas that he had left her the money and car.

Friday, AT LAST

There are a couple of things, which makes this day, Friday, a bad thing.

1.  I had to get up and go to work.
2. Owner is in today.

I can't think of any other reasons.

Let me tell you why the owner gets on my last nerves...other than I am treated like 2nd class...one of our techs got a "new" used car.  It is not that great of a car, there is a very large dent on the side but neverless, this is a step up for the tech.  He came in SO EXCITED about the car.  Was telling me all about the leather seats and all the goodies the car came with.  I, of course, was excited for him....you could see how excited he was, so how could you not be?  The owner comes in and asked where tech is and I told him he was here and that he got a new car and how excited he was about having it... (thus the reason why he didn't see his car in the lot) and then the owner said..."I was wondering who's piece of trash that was.."

I need to say nothing more....hurts my heart.

Quote of the day! I love this one too!

"Each of us is here to discover our true selves; that essentially we are spiritual beings who have taken manifestation in physical form; that we're not human beings that have occasional spiritual experiences, that we're spiritual beings that have occasional human experiences."

- Deepak Chopra

Re-Gifting

I had a very good Christmas, however I read 83% of American adults receive unwanted gifts during the holiday season. This can't be just the casual-acquaintance category of gifts--it has to include gifts from loved ones too. This means that most people are potential re-gifters or resellers. Do you think the gift you gave could end up being re-gifted? The survey said that nearly half of those adults (47%) typically re-gift or resell items.

I want to know....did you get anything this year you don't care for? Or did you get a gift, which you don't think the person put any effort into?

Are you planning on re-gifting or re-selling the item(s)?

Merry Christmas and Many Blessings

Hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed day. When I sit back and look at my many blessings, I find I have so many to even count. What a wonderful thing to have to much of!

Here is a picture of my Maggie girl I took this morning. She is getting so big and becomes more beautiful to me every day. Looking at this picture really makes me take a priorty check. I so am thankful to have such a wonderful niece and wonderful family!!!

Monday Early Morning

I woke up around 3 am this morning so I decided to get up and watch a little TV. I was very rested and felt great. I went downstairs and put in a movie, which I have been wanting to watch for over a year now (The Holiday). I watched about half of it and dozed off. When I woke up it was 9:30ish. Maggie said something to me. I had fallen asleep sitting up on the couch. Funny part was my dream....

I had dreamed that I lived in a house, something like a sorority house, with many different people and I had a very bad habit. A habit, which everyone overlooked but me. I made a short puffing sound of air out of my mouth (something like a raspberry sound) and it was a bad habit, which I did uncontrollable and all the darn time! I know I was trying to stop but it was very difficult and I was losing the battle. Very FUNNY! When I told SIL about my dream we both laughed and laughed. Every now and then I will make the sound...we laugh again.

Hope you had a great night and crazy dreams to share too!

Homemade Christmas

Each year, this being the 2nd year, my 3 girl friends and I make homemade gifts and then exchange them. This year we went to Carrabba's Italian Restaurant and had a nice dinner and exchanged presents with each other. This is all the goodies I got this year! Some of the items in the picture...a calendar, box of homemade cards to use, chocolate, a collage, homemade cookies, homemade fudge, a receipe holder with favorite cookie receipes (and a few others) and cookie scoops. I gave each friend a stained glass piece made my myself, home made beef stew (made by my mother) and a little box ornament. It was a fun evening!

LOVE THIS THOUGHT!

It's not just that when one door closes, another door opens.

When one door closes, choirs burst into chorus, orchestras orchestrate, bugles bugle, marching bands march, dogs catch Frisbees, cats 'chow, chow, chow,' pigs fly, and 10,000 new doors open.

Kind of makes you want a door to close, huh?

Tired of Monday's

Okay, not so much tired of them, it is I am just tired and it is Monday.

I am still not well but I would say 70% better. The drink just makes the bloody cold go away! I am still coughing and have bronchitis. How do I know? I have had it in the past and it feels the same. I took a breathing treatment last night and slept like Sleeping Beauty and just now took another one. I am almost out of the Aburterol and this makes me sad. I only use it when I desperately need it but the cost is out of this world. On top of that, no new Rx. This means I will have to go see MD again...another $300-440 gone. I know if you don't have your health you have nothing...just makes me mad since it is the same problem and I know I will sit in waiting room for 2 hours, be in the room for 40 minutes and 5 minutes later will walk out with the same Rx as before. Frustrating! I would buy it online if I could...I swear I would.

The picture I have uploaded is a stained glass piece I made last weekend. The soldering isn't great but it looks pretty if you are arms distances away...or...don't touch it!

Just finished another one

Had another drink just now before bed...and starting to sweat so this will be short. I just wanted to upload a couple pictures so here they are! My nice made these items in her craft class. I just think they are a hoot and had to share them!!!!

Sunday Morning Update

I am really excited for several reasons. The most important reason is that I had a decent sleep last night. Although I still am not well, I did get some rest. I believe the rest had to do with the drink I fixed myself last night. I have found if I drink this when I have a cold, the cold gets better. I guess the alcohol kills the germs. I wonder if alcoholics ever get colds? Okay well, here is what I fix when I get a cold. I fill a cup about 3/4 the way up with tea and heat it to the point of boiling point. You want to have the drink as hot as you can possibly drink it! Then after it is hot, you put a teaspoon of honey, squeeze some lemon (I LIKE A LOT OF LEMON!...(it kills the taste of the alcohol for me!) then I put AT LEAST a shot of whiskey. We have been using Southern Comfort. The first time I bought a bottle...what 2 years ago?....it was the cheapest whiskey I could find so that is what we have stuck with! I drink the drink as quickly as I can. Then wrap myself up in a blanket and sweat it out!!!!! By the morning, you will fill a difference! Normally 1 or 2 nights of this and I am completely well. I hope you don't have to use the recipe but there it is in case you do!

Next reason I am excited is I found a cable so I can now download my pictures from my camera! I haven't been able to do this for awhile but my brother said the same one for my phone can be used for my camera. Who knew? I am going to be uploading many pictures today. The first being a picture of my favorite gal, which is another reason why I am excited...she has let me take pictures of her again...it has been YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black Tuesday and other tales

The alarm went off this morning and I decided to hit the snooze button.  At the time I should be leaving is when I woke up again.  I guess I didn't hit the right button...ya think?  So I jumped in the shower and washed off like I was running for a medal in the Olympics.  I sure wished at this point I would have washed my hair even if it meant I had to come in with it wet.  It feels awful!  My car is on total EMPTY and I didn't have time to stop and get gas.  I came in on fumes.  I hope my car will start when I leave tonight.  I should have stopped for gas.  I didn't know what I was going to wear today so I threw on some clothes....black sweats and sweatshirt and black boots.  This is one of good things I can say about my job.  I can wear this kind of clothes!

I was so tired last evening!  I worked and worked on a stained glass project and ended up hanging it up when I was done.  It looks beautiful from a distance but don't look to close!  I am still learning how to use the soldering iron and so it not very pretty up close.  I am telling you the truth when I say, the joints are not pretty.  The pattern is pretty though.  It was a pattern, which Maggie started.  She was playing with the pieces and I thought what she came up with was pretty.  My brother and I played with the pieces some more and came up with the design.  I sure wish I could post a picture but I don't know how do it with my camera phone.  Maybe I could later....

I think I have finished buying for Christmas.  I have to count to see how many "little" gifts I have for Maggie.  I put a stocking on her door handle and each morning she gets up to find a small stocking gift from me.  For example, yesterday was soap and it looked like a duck.  She loves animals and loves to play in the bathtub so I figured she would love the duck soap.  This morning I put a pair of socks in the stocking.  They have the words Hugs and Kisses and XOXO stitched on them.  I think she will love them.  Anyway, I am going to be putting a little something in each morning until the 25Th.  I may have to throw in a pack of gum or something if I don't have enough little goodies to put in.  I hope when she is grown, she will remember these little things I did for her.  I remember the little things when I was little and this is what is carried with you for a lifetime.

Hope everyone is having a better morning than what I had today!

Breakfast

A couple weeks ago I stopped at Chick-fil-A and the owner came in and went "ARGH!!  That is my favorite place!  I would eat there 5 out of the 7 nights if I there was one close to me...how could you bring that in this office because I LOVE IT?  I love sweet tea!!"  On and on he went!

Well, this morning I stopped by Chick-fil-A and bought him a large sweet tea and some chick-n-mini's.

Also, owner's brother almost went nuts that I didn't bring him in any....He kept pretending to pick up the tea.  He also sat at my desk and picked up the sack twice.  I told him the story about me bringing it in a few weeks ago and so what did he do?  He said exactly the same thing right back to me!  Just like a parrot.

Oh boy.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

DON'T I WISH!  I am still at work!  Just finished eating my peanut butter sandwich (and it was pretty darn good) and I am SO TIRED!  I would love to lay down for just a bit...it just isn't going to happen...now, if I were at home...that would be another story!

My mouth and tongue are going through some tough times the last couple days.  I ate something rough and the top of my mouth is sore.  I also burnt the heck out of my tongue (I can actually see the difference in colors)!  I couldn't remember what it was I burnt my tongue on until today I decided I wanted some hot chocolate....oh yes, HOT BOILING HOT BURN my tongue chocolate.  That reminded me and I decided against it.

Instead, I think I will try a nap....`

All I Want

is to go back to BED!

I am very tired this afternoon.  The sun is shinning in my office and looks warm and inviting...we all know this can't be true...never less, I want to take my blue blanket, which my friend Laurie gave me last year and lay down on the floor with it and take a quick nap!  Unfortunately, my work will not be done if I surrendered to this thought!

Hope everyone got where they needed to go today after all the snow we got last night!  It took me 35 extra minutes to get to work.  Speaking of snow, I don't know why it is, it seems anytime I do something extra to my hair, it is a day, which the snow and rain will destroy or the wind will blow it down.  I hope one day I can actually have my hair look half way decent and make it out the door to my destination before it looks like a rats nest!

I guess we all have our dreams.

Feel Better Now?

No...not really.  I went out for my lunch to get some air and cried.  I read just because I don't know what path I am on or think maybe the path I am on is wrong, I am not supposed to judge it.  I am supposed to know I am headed exactly where I am supposed to be going.  This means even if I am encounter detours, hairpin turns or passing cars with noses and whatnot pressed to the windows I am to know, I am headed in the right direction and I am supposed to be getting closer to what I am supposed to be doing every flippin' day.

Road trip?  I don't want to take any more road trips!

I want to park the car and enjoy the scenic view.

Depressing

I just figured up commission for the techs.  2 of them are going to be devastated again with the little amount they are bringing home, especially since the work so many hours a week.

I figured up how much the company would have to bring in each month in order for me to get the amount of money, which I the ad stated....$83,000.00 a month.  That is just to get me in the middle of the amount of which I was told I would be paid.  I get a salary plus commission.  The ad I answered said I would be paid between $32-36K a year.  In order to get in between this amount, the company would have to bring in $83,000.00 a month.  A "good" estimate as to what the company is bringing in....$30,000.00 a month.    That is a long way from the $$....

Freezing

If I think it is cold, then it is COLD!

The dial in the office reads 70 degrees.  I have a shaw on my shoulders and a blanket on my lap.  I have boots with insulation but my toes are frozen!  If I think it is cold, then it is COLD because I like it cool.
