Dear Mrs. (Kindergarten Teacher):

I don’t like your attitude either! You are the most unwise woman and there has been an injustice done with not picking my niece as the little red hen. Stupid! Stupid! Woman! How did you get through college? Kindergarten must be a farce and children must not learn anything in your class. Any sensible person can see my niece is a genius. I don’t think the rest of the children in this class have the ability to pull off a role of this caliber but no…You must do it you way don’t you? You must think you know it all. I know this child. I see more of her than you do! What makes you the expert and have the ability to know what is right for her? You are just her kindergarten teacher and I am her Auntie! She is my flesh!

I am very unhappy and most displeased. I sure hope you are not going to want any help anytime soon from me.

Auntie
Dear Mrs. (Kindergarten Teacher):

What do you mean my niece didn’t get chosen for the part of the Little Red Hen? Apparently I have misjudged your ability to teach as well as having the skills to see obvious talent. My niece has flair and could perform this lame, stupid play in her sleep. Jesus! It is my hope you weren’t the unintelligent person who decided not to place my niece in the main role of this daft and foolish play.

Thank you.
Auntie
Dear Mrs. (Kindergarten Teacher):

I was looking over paperwork, which you sent home regarding the Little Red Hen performance and I did not see my niece’s name listed as the Little Red Hen. I am sure this must be an oversight and wanted to point this out right away so that you could correct your error.

Again, please let me know if I can help in anyway.

Thank you.
Auntie

Little Red Hen Letter

Dear Mrs. (Kindergarten Teacher):

I was so happy to hear students in your class would be performing a play of the Little Red Hen. This story was one of my favorites when I was a child. I am so pleased to hear you are teaching my niece a story with moral in school. I can tell by the story chosen, you must be a positive person with good values.

Please let me know if I can help in anyway.

Respectfully yours,
Auntie

Spinning Around

Today, after what….7 years….I find out that maybe I shouldn’t take total blame for the spinning. I received a text message from boss 1 this morning. Boss 1 said he would be in at 9:30 a.m. The office had factory training on one of our lines we sell today at 9:30 so that made sense. What didn’t make sense was he just came in at 3 p.m. He made an announcement that they just got back in from Florida. Boss 1 wife told me they watched the game at a friend’s house and made it sound like they were in Indy. I was lead to believe they were in Indy….deliberately. Why? Why would someone deliberately cover something as trivial as that? If she covers something this small up, what else has she covered up? Am I supposed to believe these people any longer?? Is this what I am supposed to learn here? I got it. I got it. Also, Boss 2 wasn’t very happy about not knowing what was going on with boss 1. He didn’t sound pleased that we didn’t have training either. I believe a big blow up is going to come soon. Man, I hope I am not here to have to listen to it or have to be a part of it.

Sunday

My girl Maggie was so very cute yesterday! She asked me several times if the game was on yet. She wanted to watch the Colts play. This would be her very first game she had ever seen. Knowing she didn’t have a clue, it was very cute to see her want to watch the game.

“Have the Colts played yet Auntie?”

“No, not yet, they don’t play until 6:30.”

“It is past 6:30 yet?”

“Not yet, but I will let you know.”

When the game started, she sat on the coffee table in front of the big screen. In her right hand she had her Colts puppet on. (Picture below) I just wanted to cry when I couldn’t find my memory stick for my camera. That would have been such a cute picture!

Maggie watched, I would say, a good hour of the game. At one point, she asked to “pause” the game so she could get up to get something and that really made me laugh. She isn’t used to watching T.V. We normally watch things off the myth box (like a TiVo) or we watch a movie. Then she grew tired and wanted to play a game with us. I played waitress and customer with her so that I could continue to watch but play with her at the same time.

How do you play waitress and customer? Well, she is the waitress and comes to me and I tell her what I would like to eat and/or drink. She then goes to her play kitchen and stove and makes what I asked. I am not allowed to call her anything but the word “waitress”. I am not saying being a waitress is a bad thing, I just hope for her she doesn’t end up one for real. That is a very hard job!

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Ms Violet

I am happy to report Ms Violet is growing and blooming!

Go Colts!

Maggie made this Colts puppet.

Life getting in the way

My mother told me this week that I needed to update my blog. I have been so busy that I just haven't had the chance but looking back I wonder what it was, which kept me from writing. I can only assume it is life getting in the way.

I have started a new chapter in the sales training class I am taking. It is all about journaling. The teacher wants us to journal first thing in the morning. Heck, I have trouble finding the shower in the morning before work let alone getting up and physically put pencil to paper so instead I find myself writing at odd times. For example I wrote about 4 pages the other day waiting in the lobby of my doctors office. I wrote about my fears of having to see a new doctor and the dreaded question if I would have to have a scope on my neck. (Yes to the last question.) It was good to write but now I admit I haven't written a single word since then. It has been a couple days. This isn't a good thing. I promised to give my all to this class yet I haven't followed even the basic rule, which is to journal every day. I am reminded every day by my conscious but yet I say to myself, "I will do it in a little while", which in my mind is a cop out. In a little while becomes days. I must ask myself why I keep doing it and then buck up and write. I just promised myself I would do write today but "in a little while".

I started on making a Christmas gift (2007) the other day for my friend Fraubyers. I am about to take scissors to it and rip it into shreds. I keep messing it up, over and over. It is frustrating and I want to understand why I can't get it right. Getting it right doesn't mean I don't think it looks good, it is a pattern so getting it right means getting the pattern correct. Nothing more on this subject! I don't want to give the surprise away.

Well that is it for now. I must take my journal and write in it now. In a little while has come.

Kids these days!

My brother and I have been playing a race car game on the Xbox. He bought the game used for $3 and we are really getting good use of it. This game doesn’t have anybody beating each other up or doing anything disturbing on it. It is just racing car against car through streets and crazy corners. I enjoy playing the game but I normally end up getting dents in my thumb from holding the thumb stick to hard and also I tense my muscles in my hands, arms and legs. I have to say I am pretty terrible playing this game. In fact, I come in dead last most of the time but it doesn’t matter. I still like to play. The only bad thing, I think, is that I end up cussing like a sailor. We always play when Maggie goes to bed but I still don’t like cussing when we play this game.

This morning, my brother comes and tells me that my 5 year old niece is the one who I will need to aspire to beat. She did a fast lap in 33 seconds. WHAT? 33 seconds? It takes me several MINUTES to do the same darn thing! This must mean she didn’t crash into any other cars and/or guard rails! I couldn’t believe it!!

Auntie Claus

Maggie picked this book from her school library. She told me that she gotten my book. I was confused until she pulled it from her backpack! She was so cute showing it to me. She and I are going to read the book tomorrow.

Thursday, January 25, 2007

It was a busy morning for me yesterday. I received the information I am about to tell you in about 2 minutes, which was way less time than it took me to type it! This was all given to me unsolicited!

My company had one of our factory reps come in for training and to call on a few customers. This gentleman brought a lady friend in with him to the appointment. This was totally unprofessional. Would you take your boyfriend or girlfriends knowing you were going to make sales calls? Anyway, this lady friend ended up sitting in my office during the sales call with boss 1. She stated she was going to go and sleep in her boyfriend’s car while they were working however boss 1 and 2 said for her to stay in where it was warm. So, boss 2 sat her in my office so that she could play on the internet. (Thanks!)

My first gripe was I wanted to hand her a tissue. She kept sniffing and sniffing. This is one reason why it is very important for me to have my own office. It has been way too many years for me to share an office with someone, especially someone who isn't as well educated in the world of social graces as I am. HA! Anyway, she told me in the first minute she sat down that her "husband" (she was here with a man NOT her husband)....anyway, her husband has cut her off and not giving her any money. She said she has 3 kids and she left husband and her 3 kids at 3 a.m. one morning because he was beating on her. (Why would you leave your kids behind then?) Husband won’t give her the children now, and he is now claiming abandonment. Did I tell you that she said he had better watch himself because she has a tape of him and her neighbor? She actually graphically told me what was on the tape. My mouth dropped open. I couldn't believe she told me that. She then said both her husband and this woman want this tape. So I said, "Well maybe you could tell the neighbor if she comes over to your side and helps you out that you would hand over the tape." She then said that the neighbor was a crack head so she wouldn't be of any help to her. OMG! This was all before she sat down in her chair.I offered her a desk office chair instead of a hardback chair (with no wheels) and she proceed to tell me that she hurt her back a few years ago and the doctor messed her up and she has been on morphine for at least 6 months she was stoned and couldn't do ANYTHING. This was one of the reasons why she is now getting a divorce because the doctor gave her morphine drugs. She also said she started having tremors and when she went back into the back surgeon's office, he looked at her and walked away and wouldn't see her. It sounds to me like he was a smart doctor and wanted nothing more to do with her. She said she was suing him too for 5 million dollars. OMG! Now she is seeing a doctor like the television show Doogie Howser MD. She said he went to collage when he was like 15 years old.... So she wrote emails to her attorney, while her male friend and boss 1 went out on a sales call.

Doesn't she sound like a train wreck?

WHY WOULD SOMEONE TELL ME THEIR LIFE STORY...SOMEONE I JUST MEET 5 MINUTES PRIOR????

UPDATE: Apparently, according to boss 2, gentleman from factory was at one of our customers and told the people he was meeting with about his girlfriends soon to be ex-husband story. Boss 1 was Mortified!

Cervical Traction

My cervical traction unit came in yesterday. I started the program last evening. I am supposed to do the stretching twice daily. I just don’t know if I will be able to do that. It means I have to get up early. I don’t like getting up early. I don’t like having to get up at 6:25 am now and if I do this every morning, it would mean I would have to get up at 6 a.m. I just don’t think I can do it. Between my brother and my niece, I don’t know if this will help me or not because they both make me laugh to the point of no return. Maggie has to be right there with me and my brother is talking to me telling me I am not doing exactly what the instruction video showed to do. Never mind that my doctor gave me different directions but at any rate, he makes me laugh out loud. Maggie thinks she has to snuggle on top of me when I am lying on the floor doing the stretching. Last night my brother was going off about me not following the directions and for Maggie to get in and help me when Maggie stated, “I only got to watch half of the video” and my brother yells back that it was obviously more than what I had watched. So Maggie came a running! Those two are to much sometimes! I hadn't laughed like that in a long time.

UPDATE: Cervical traction (neck) NOT cervix! LOL!!

Watching Football

I normally don't watch football. I don't keep up with who is in what championship game or payoffs. I used to watch more when I lived at home but since I have been moved away from home I just don't get into it. This evening I invited myself over to the Byers home to watch the playoffs. I thought it would be interesting, and it was. I stayed until about 8. The game started at 6:30. It seems only about 15 minutes of the game was actually played in the hour and a half I watched. There was commerical after commerical. I couldn't believe it. Then when the game was being played I found myself becoming anxious. I remember now why I don't watch football. I get keyed up and nervous. So I didn't finish watching the game at the Byers. I decided to leave so that I wouldn't have a nervous breakdown in front of their children. I did turn the radio on to listen to the game in my 7 minute drive home. Then came upstairs and I am keeping track of who is winning by going to a local news website. My nerves just can't take the minute by minute plays. I hope they win. I sure hope they do because there will be much disapointment by the entire community and it would be nice to finally win but I can't take the pressure of the stress of it all blow by blow.

Feeling Down

I am feeling really down today. I guess part may be the weather. I know much of it has to do with my job. I am not really happy where I am working. Things are not the same as they were, not that anything stays the same, it is just working with 2 bosses is really difficult and I am at my wits end. One wants me to do things one way, the other wants something totally different. I am just so tired and frustrated. I know I shouldn't complain....

Monday, January 15, 2007

Argh!

Very tired today

I didn't sleep well last night. I just couldn't sleep at all! It was a miserable night. I even decided to take a half of a sleeping pill around midnight and that didn't help either! It wasn't like a drank a bunch of caffeine on Sunday. I just don't know what the deal was but today, I can hardly walk, talk or concentrate at all. I must rest and rest soon!

Well, that is it for now because I can't even think about what to write or what I did this past weekend to write about.

What is and isn't cool....

This evening Maggie was showing me her new Lightening McQueen car and I said "That's nice." I was informed, "It isn't nice Auntie, It's COOL." I guess I am the one who is not so cool.

Don't you just hate when you buy something and all the pieces are not there? I am frustrated because I purchased a kit at Hobby Lobby and the main piece of the kit wasn't in the box! I wanted to do this craft this weekend and since they aren't open on Sunday's, I won't be able to return it. This is not cool either.

I purchased a warm blowing humidifier to put in my room. I am planning on running it at night when I sleep to help my throat. I didn't have a very good night last night. I had a massage and I guess since I hadn't had one in quite a while my muscles decided to spasm while I tried to sleep. I was up and down all night. Each time I woke up, my mouth felt dry. Since I would wake up dry I would take a big drink of water, which meant I was up going to the restroom too. None of this is cool to me either.

What I think is cool:
The growth taken off my vocal cords came back benign!
The CT Scan taken of my neck came back negative!

Forget to take down the lights?

There are so many people who have forgotten. I think I may start taking pictures of those who have forgotten and start posting them. I am just amazed at how many homes still have their homes lighted up! Oh, wait....I guess I best check to make sure our house doesn't still have ours glowing bright into the night too!

It seems I may be very creative!

Isn’t there a saying about the most creative minds have the messiest desks? If there is, then I must be pretty creative, because my desk is constantly being mistaken for the remnants of a tornado. It’s not that I don’t like a clean, neat, organized office, and about only the day before I go on vacation it is in good shape. But keeping it that way is where I always fail. I have the best intentions, but procrastination and distraction always get the best of me.

One of my resolutions was going get organized and stay organized. As of today, I have failed miserably. Is there hope for me? I am not sure but I am looking onto the possibility of trying to get organized. Is that like saying, “I will give it a shot, but I know I am going to fail?” I have heard that one before.

If I was really brave, and I’m not, I’d post a picture of my desk so that you could each bash me. I’m not sure I can do that yet. So, I will set my timer for 15 minutes, bring in a big garbage bag, and I will thin out some of the items not needed on my desk.

Once I get to the point where I feel like I’ve decluttered, I may post a picture.

Are you a recovering clutter-holic? Feel free to share some inspiration or commiseration with me!

My niece has been very sweet to me since I came home from surgery. I guess the absence made her heart grow fonder. She has been the sweetest little girl. We all have been playing waitress with her as she got a new kitchen and fruit stand for Christmas. She loves cooking the make believe food and then serving it to us. Last night she asked if I would like some puzzle soup. (Daddy had finished a puzzle and it was sitting near her.) I wanted to probe and ask questions about the soup.
“What is in this puzzle soup?” I asked.
She then replied very upbeat and lively, “Well, there are worms and butterflies!”
"Worms and butterflies!" I said with a crazy look on my face.
"No, no, I mean butterfiles and flowers!" She replied.
Okay, I guess that makes it all right then....

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Argh!

It has been a stressful day for me! I don’t understand why because it has been pretty quiet but I am trying to get figures together for the bosses and I am having troubles! Yesterday all day it was the darn federal 941’s and I ended up having to call the people who make our software. Today it is still software related but I need to take the responsibility of this problem because I ended up putting money in an account, where it didn’t belong and then had to search for it. No biggie but it is just the little things sometimes, ya know? It is sucking the life out of me. I normally don’t have issues with the accounting side of business so it is somewhat frustrating.

I am looking forward to getting out of here today. I stayed late yesterday and probably should not have. I, however; have so much to do and it feels like a ton is sitting on top of my sore shoulders. I know I will feel much better getting some things accomplished and off my plate.

I am still laughing!

I had a very big laugh today. My mother sent me a picture of a “homemade” gift. (Picture to the right). It was slippers. I sent the email on to not only friends; I sent it to a male stranger! I shouldn’t say stranger, because I do have a WORKING relationship with this man, I just have never met him in person before! I didn’t even know I had sent him the email until he emailed me back stating:

“There are just some emails a man shouldn’t open! Happy New Year!”

I laughed and laughed and laughed! Can you imagine? I sent him an email back stating I had hoped he had a good laugh on my expense.

This is the email, which I forwarded to everyone:

Here is a gift I am planning on making each of you next year for Christmas since money is going to be tight this year. Please let me know your size so I can get started on them. I have also included the directions just in case you want to pass this gift out to others too.

CT SCAN - Check

I had my CT Scan this morning. I was so very scared during the procedure. I am clostophobia so I am sure this is one of the reasons why it was so stressful for me. After I had the IV the test began and I was told not to swallow. Everyone knows how hard it is to do something when you are told not to do it....Also, I wanted to swallow because of the taste in my mouth. I thought it was werid that the iv carried taste to my mouth immediately. The test didn't take very long but I was very dizzy afterwards. I was given a drink and had to sit in the waiting room to make sure I wasn't going to pass out or have a reaction to the dyes. I hope the scan came out clear. I really don't know how it could have because I know I was shaking. The best part of the morning was that I was given a warm blanket. I love hospitals warm blankets. They feel so nice and cozy and it makes me think of love. So the blanket gave me love.

Afterwards I meet my friend Laurie for breakfast at Bob Evans. Today is her birthday so I treated her to a meal. I haven't seen her since before Christmas so she had double the goodies to open. She gave me snowman poop because she said I was naughty......*sigh*.....If she would only realize that she is the naughty one....HAHA.......I also got some other goodies and a warm blanket, which I have sitting on my lap right now and you know how I feel about receiving love from a good warm blanket!

I don't remember exactly.....

Tonight I was trying to remember anything about when I was put under for surgery. I realize there is a reason for not remembering but it is still very strange to me that no matter how hard I try, I can't remember a darn thing! I remember being on the operating table, having the surgery team cover me with warm blankets, having the doctor tell me he was going to start and then the only thing I can remember, which still haunts me is waking up, choking for breathe seeing 7 people around me. Having the oxygen mask on and me straining to know where I was. I keep thinking, where am I? Why am I choking? Where am I? Why can't I breathe....I was hearing the people around me talk to me telling me to breathe. I have no idea how long I was asleep for. I have no idea how I got out of the operating room and into the recovery room. I have no idea what happened during the surgery. I just can't remember. It makes me really think about those people who have lost their memory. How sad and lost they must be. Could you imagine if your entire life was lost? You just woke up one day and didn't know who you were. I had a cousin who was in a serious car accident when she was in high school. I remember my mother telling me after months, or maybe even years later my cousin told her that she didn't remember anyone or anything. The people in her life she didn't remember and only knew them as her parents and family because they told her they were. No memories. No emotional ties. She had nothing. I just can't imagine not knowing or remembering those important people. So I guess not remembering what when on for a few hours in one day is nothing to fret about. I am lucky to remember that!

This cracked me up!

Denver Weather

I didn't write this, it was forwarded to me but I thought it was interesting.

Up here, in the "Mile-Hi City", we just recovered from a Historic event--- may I even say a "Weather Event" of "Biblical Proportions" --- with a historic blizzard of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 MPH that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands. FYI:George Bush did not come. FEMA did nothing. No one howled for the government. No one blamed the government. No one even uttered an expletive on TV.Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit. Our Mayor did not blame Bush or anyone else. Our Governor did not blame Bush or anyone else, either. CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX or NBC did not visit - or report on this category 5 snowstorm. Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards. No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House. No one looted.Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something.Nobody expected the government to do anything, either. No Larry King, No Bill O'Rielly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera. No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Striesand, No Hollywood types to be found.Nope, we just melted the snow for water. Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars. The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a penny.Local restaurants made food and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snowbound families. Families took in the stranded people - total strangers. We fired up wood stoves, broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns. We put on extra layers of clothes because up here it is "Work or Die". We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for 'sittin at home' checks.Even though a Category "5" blizzard of this scale has never fallen this early, we know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves. "In my many travels, I have noticed that once one gets north of about 48 degrees North Latitude, 90% of the world's social problems evaporate."It does seem that way, at least to me.I hope this gets passed on. Maybe SOME people will get the message. The world does Not owe you a living.

Good Night

I came home on Saturday night. It was a very good night for me. My SIL made me one of my favorite soups (potato) and it was oh so yummy and my niece was the best little girl in the world! She loved my dry erase board, which I am using to communicate. She is a little reader and writer now! I got so many hugs and kisses it made having the surgery worth wild!

I am still getting pretty tired off and on during the day. I can't figure it out. I also am sleeping VERY WELL during the night time. Perhaps it is just the healing process taking place. I am not upset at all about it, it is just curious thing to me.

I have my CAT scan on Tuesday for my neck. I am a little nervous about it because I haven't ever had one but I am sure it will be fine. I know it is like having a x-ray. Does anyone know how long it takes normally?

Getting to go home today

I am feeling up to going home today, but I am oh so tired still! I guess any type of surgery would or could wear one out. I haven't taken any Vicodin today and I am hoping I won't have to. I might in a little while because I am sore but wonder if I should take something less addictive. Vicodin may be a little like shopping to me....addictive!

I ate pretty good this morning. My momma fixed me biscuits and gravy and some soft scrambled eggs. I am not an egg person but I did manage to eat just a little bit just to have something different to eat. It was oh so good stuff! Nothing like homemade biscuits and gravy to make you feel better! Soft and full of goodness!

My niece has promised me hugs and kisses upon my return home this evening. We shall see about that...Nana (my mom) and Papaw are bringing me home and will be coming to play....and in the light of them coming I will be pushed out of the way. I am about 5th in line with her....just below the dog. LOL!

Sleeping

I am sleeping I am sleeping I am sleeping! Just like a normal person! I have forgotten how it feels like to sleep more than an hour at a time. Or should I say, 10 minutes per hour! I used to be up all night long. I used to wake up exhausted! I am now sleeping 5-6 hours at a time and only getting up to go to potty! Yeah! I think getting the growth off my vocal cords is a good thing because I can sleep! Wait...Wait...maybe it is the Vicodin, which is letting me sleep?! Hum. I guess time will tell. All I know is that I am awake and ready to face the world! I like that feeling!!!

The only issue I am really having after I get up is my neck starts hurting and then my head. I must have really bruised my neck thrashing around trying to breathe. I hope this works itself out pretty soon. My neck is pretty sore and after awhile it feels like I need it to be supported.

Insurance, Insurance, Insurance, Are you Kidding ME?

Yesterday morning the ENT gave us a RX to fill. My insurance company (Blue Cross and Blue Shield) reject it first thing in the morning. They want me to use another type of drug. So everyone knows how hard it is get answer on prescriptions since doctors are usually seeing patients during the day so it wasn't until late last night time when a new script was called in. The medication the insurance suggested was the one, which was okayed by the doctor. Guess what happened next? The insurance company decided they wouldn't fill as written. ENT wanted me to have 2 pills a day. Insurance company denied this. They only wanted me to take 1 pill a day. Since it was nighttime, I couldn't get anything answered. My mom has been working with both the doctor office and CVS all day today. Finally after messing back and forth with the darn insurance company, I will be taking the drug they said I need to be taken as well as the amounts they say I need. WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES? When did they decided what I need to take versus my doctor and then the amounts to be taken?? Do their CEO's and new buildings take precedence over patient health care? OMG! My company pays a bloody fortune for Blue Cross...One of the reasons is because we have an awesome plan. What I am now beginning to wonder is what would happen if we had a terrible health plan. Where would I be in this mess? You see I haven't been ill or needed to use insurance in a long, long time. I mean YEARS. I do go get my annual physicals and such, pay my co-pay and move on so I don't have much trouble with the insurance company. I guess they like that type of patient. One where you pay all the money in and they reap the rewards of never having to pay much out. Okay, can you tell I am a little upset?

Another thing my mom was telling me today. She has a friend who just was diagnosed with diabetes. Since he doesn't have any family history of diabetes, his insurance denied all his diabetes claims!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

My neck hurts really bad today. It is like I bruised it. I thrashed my head around pretty good yesterday while I was in recovery trying to breathe. So I guess that is why it hurts so badly now. I have also been getting really tired off and on but I suppose that goes with the territory. All in all, I am doing well I think.

How are you doing?

My update and more crazy to come!

I am doing pretty well tonight after my surgery other than I have indigestion, which I don’t normally have! I am also having terrible hot flashes and my hair is soaking wet! I have had this off and on today. Mom thinks it is the pain meds I am on. I would probably agree to that.

My surgeon was really nice. I didn’t talk to him but he made sure my mom knew everything. Fine with me, it wouldn’t be anything I could remember anyway. Here is the thing…After surgery he also spoke to her about 2 other procedures he is going to send me to. Needless to say, he and his office didn’t waste ANY TIME….because before 2 p.m. today they had called and had already scheduled the 2 procedures for me. One is a CAT scan on Tuesday. So the reason for the CAT scan…Well he needs to look at my neck to see if I have obstruction. Why does he think this may be the case? I lost my breath during recovery and choked!!!! My biggest fear! So I have to have a CAT scan Tuesday….I am sure my job is going to love all this time I am taking off!

What I remember about my anesthesiologist was right before surgery he told me he would put the medication in my hook up and I would taste something funny in my mouth and then would eventually fall asleep. When I was in the operating room, he said he was going to start. I was in the room for approximately 2 seconds and that included being prepared for the surgery and was dead under. I didn’t have time to taste anything. The next thing I remember and this is the part, which scares the crap out of me, is waking up with about 7 people around me trying to get me to breathe. I had oxygen on and the anesthesiologist was there and they were all talking to me to get me to wake up and breathe. It took about 3-4 minutes later when I had finally woke up when I started to breath on my own before they could take the oxygen off. I was groggy but breathing on my own. My head was pounding and one of the guys said to get me caffeine, a coke or something. I drank it just fine. No real problems but I had just taken 2 Vicodens! Hurray for pain medication! LOL!

The other procedure is an endoscopy and it is scheduled for the 19th of this month! OMG! My mom told me I would more than likely be put out during this too. Can you smell fear? I am very, very scared about that! The endoscopy is being preformed because ENT said I have acid reflux. This is pretty weird for me because I don’t normally have indigestion or heart burn. Hardly never but during the surgery today, my ENT said I have acid “runs” located in my stomach to my throat. I must have some serious acid going on in my stomach!!! ENT also called in medication for me for the acid. The medication he wants me on….My Blue Cross and Blue Shield will not pay for! What??? They said I have to try a couple other brands before they would pay for the medication prescribed. Cheap bastards! (Sorry for cussing but it was the nicest word I could find to use.)

Today was difficult for me not to talk and it was the first darn day! Lots of writing but I know if I continue to write, I will heal much quicker. So I must stick to writing!!!

Tomorrow I will still be on a liquid diet. My mom made some awesome soup for me today. She put lots of carrots (I love!) in it but I would have never known because it was chopped into liquid. I also ate pudding and had 2 Popsicles.

I have had a pretty good day considering what I went through this morning! Tomorrow will be better but then Tuesday will be here before we know it! Man! I really wanted to put off more medical bills. They are all going to shower into me at once! I know. I know. It is my health but this is really going to put a damper on gift giving and craft spending!

Attitude

I loved this one! Thanks for sharing mom!

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she had a wonderful day.The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did and she had a grand day.The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day.The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.Live simply, Love generously,Care deeply,Speak kindly.......Leave the rest to God

Yee Haw!

Petty good day considering I woke up 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave for work! I can’t even believe I decided to look at my clock when I did. I was wake probably 15 prior but didn’t realize or wasn’t awake “enough” to realize my clock had not gone off. I need a new alarm clock.

I am pretty tired now. I am used to taking a nap about this time so my body is telling me to lie down and rest. I can’t do that because I have to much work to do and I will be off on Thursday and Friday of this week. Wake up darn you! I just opened the window to my office. It is a bit nippy out there so that should do the trick!

The last couple days I have been fixing hot toddies to drink to help with my cold. It has been working and I haven’t taken any over the counter meds since I started drinking. I guess it is true that alcohol kills germs. I ran out of the liquor I was using and had to go to the store and get more liquor. I felt like an idiot buying alcohol on my lunch hour! I also purchased cokes and lemon. That, I am sure, made me look like I was going to have a party! Yee Haw!

A New Year

So what have a done today to start the year out right? I drank a hot totty? Not sure if that is how you spell it or not....I am still fighting a little bit of a cold so decided to give it a shot. It helped a great deal. I may have to drink another one tonight before going to bed and maybe just maybe, I will feel like going into work. Nah. Don't count on that. After being off for 11 days, it is going to be very difficult. Very difficult indeed.

I am reading a pretty good book. It is an older book, which I got from 1/2 price book store and it is called The Ivy Chronicles. It is pretty good. It was a national bestseller and it is entertaining me and I am planning on passing it on to whoever wants to read it next. What are you reading?

I am pretty down today with it being my last day of vacation. I haven't crafted one bit. I wanted to craft and I did plenty of shopping to do crafting but just didn't do any. This is not good for my soul and I must create more this year! This is one of my many goals. Want to share a goal with me?

Rubber Stamp Convention

If we order tickets online, we save 2 bucks, however; there is a dollar handling fee no matter how many tickets ordered. If you want me to order, I will divide the price on the cost of your ticket. General admission is 8 bucks or 6 bucks if we order online. We also can come in 1/2 hour earlier than others who buy their tickets at the door. Watcha thinking? Want to order online? If I have 4 who want to order (including myself) it would be $6.25 each. Please blog comment back with yes by January 20th. I will place order on this date.

Heirloom’s Indianapolis Rubber Stamp & Paper Arts FestivaltmMARCH 3 & 4 ~ Indiana State Fair ~ Indianapolis, IN

I choose Saturday the 3rd. What are you thoughts?

NYE

I ended up going over to Fraubyers house tonight for a few hours. As you may see, I am posting this very early in the evening as I came home early. I wanted to go out for a few hours to see everyone but since I haven't been feeling well, decided to make it an early night. I was home by 8 p.m.! Fraubyers made me a hot, stiff drink to see if I could kill the germs. I sweated quite a bit but I don't think I am cured yet.

I was supposed to go to Sam's birthday party today at Chuck E Cheese but since my head was pounding, I didn't go. I really would have liked to go to see my niece play but I am sure she will be going back there again.

I am sad that I only have 1 day left until I have to go back to work. It has been very nice being off. I am happy I have a job, I just wish I had money and didn't have to work. Doesn't most of the world who has to work? LOL!

Well, Happy New Year everyone. This year has to be better than last or else I am going to have to do some changing in my life.

Right

Make an art doll...Right...I can't keep my cold under control to do much of anything artsy. I am so frustrated! I certainly hope I can rid myself of this cold prior to my surgery on Thursday. I am also hoping getting rid of the growth on my vocal cords will help me keep down infections and perhaps not have as many colds and things as I have had in the last year or so.

I ended up going to Archiver's today with SIL. We both had gotten gift certificates for Archiver's from my wonderful parents for Christmas. I got some fun things. Now I must get my mojo up and running full speed in order to be crafty and create.

Fraubyers....Need to go to Meijers in Carmel on Saturday? I need to go there....AND I cleaned out my car. Plenty of room!! LOL! Let me know if you want to take a spin.

Searching

I have been searching for inspiration and have found some. I am going to make an art doll. I purchased some things from Art Girlz products and today purchased some felt and trimings. Looking forward to putting the doll together. It will be interesting to see what she comes out looking like...You know sometimes they have a life of their own....I have purchased purple poke a dot felt for her dress and some pink ribbon, among other items. She should be beautiful. Will post her after she is fully dressed and ready to take on the world!

Welcome Home

You know you are a red neck when you paint your new truck with the words:

You never know a woman until you meet her in court. Ex wife still misses me but her aim is improving!

I saw this truck yesterday while I was visiting a friend. The visit location was where I was born and raised. Is there some understanding why sometimes I seem dazed and confused?

Spirit Lost?

My ENT surgeon called in some medication so I can start breathing out of my nose. As I was pulling out of CVS, a car was backing up. I stopped because I decided he wasn't going to. He kept coming and coming and pretty soon he was going to hit my car. I honked to say, hey I am back here...Guess what I got? The finger. I couldn't believe it. I stopped to let this man out. He was about to run into my car so I let him know I was there and he gave me the finger. I was shocked. I guess he wanted me to stop my car in the middle of the road and back up too. The next thing I said to my self and directed to him was..."Merry Christmas to you too"....I am still shocked and it has been hours now. It isn't often I get the finger and when it happens, I guess I am stunned that people still do that kind of thing.

Merry Christmas

I have had a very good and bad Christmas!

Why it was good: I enjoy watching my niece open her presents. It is such a treat.
Why it was bad: I couldn't breathe. I have a very bad COLD!
Why it was good: We had lots of good food. Steph made the best soup on the face of the earth! It was a corn chowder with seafood.
Why it was bad: I spent way to much money.
Why it was good: Got to spend quality time with family and loved ones.
Why it was bad: I destroyed my room looking for my camera. I still can not find it.
Why it was good: I took many pictures with my moms camera.
Why it was bad: My niece wasn't nice to me and she frowned the entire day. I think she is sick too. So that would explain a lot!
Why it was good: I took pictures of her anyway.
Why it was bad: I am laying down and having troubles with a runny nose!
Why it was good: I got some great gifts!
Why it was bad: I am not going to be able to sleep tonight!

How was your day? Did you get everything you wanted? I got some AWESOME gifts this year!!!

Fester has a headache...

Argh, not that "I need to drill a hole in my head" feeling again. Thump, thump, thump...it feels like someone is dribbling my head like a basketball.

How about a method of pain relief that's just a little safer than drilling holes in your own head? This looks very interesting…it is a device constructed of aluminum in that shape a loose-fitting band that fits down on your head. All the way around the inside of the band are cushioned disks about the size of a silver dollar. On the outside are butterfly nuts to rotate the disks inward thereby tightening the device on the head.

When you are suffering from sinus pressure or Migraine headaches like I have, it can take literally hours to get rid of the pain. After taking your pain meds of choice, you can then tighten the halo around your head to speed up the process. Once you have determined the areas of intense pressure and pain screw those disks slightly tighter and then equalize the pressure on the other side of the head. For example: if you are experiencing pain in your temple, you would equalize the pressure by tightening the disk on your other temple or just above the other ear as well.

The halo can be worn two ways: level around the head between ear level and top of the forehead, or tilted as a cap above the ears rounding over the top of the head.

I found this information on the web from someone called waxing poetic and thought about trying it. I am unable to take anything strong for pain until after my surgery. I am thinking this may be an alternative…..I don't have a migraine, just terrible sinus pressure. Argh! Great way to spend Christmas Eve....Alone in a dark room with the covers pulled over your head...

HOLIDAY EATING TIPS

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Reread tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Remember this motto to live by:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, nine iron in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Party Was Fun

Maggie was so awesome at dinner tonight! The 4 adults and myself and Maggie had a good time. Maggie was so good and she ate so well....She was so happy all night. I just loved being with her. I love when the sour Maggie leaves and the sweet Maggie comes back to us. She is such a blessing.

Luci

Friday

I had lunch today with a dear friend. I will post a picture of her later. She surprised me with a gift that I couldn't believe...I still can't believe it. Everyone knows I am having surgery and with that will come a pretty hefty size deductible, well she decided to help me a little with that! I thought I was going to cry at the table. If I had started I wouldn't have been able to stop. It was a very kind and generous thing. She also gave me a small wipe board and different colored markers to go along with it. Very cute gift too! I am so truly bless to have so many wonderful people in my life! If you are reading this, then you are one of them and I bless having you as a friend or loved one.

Speaking of loved ones....Tonight is my Christmas party and I was told I could bring a guest. Well my guest is so very happy right now singing and ready to party. She asked me, "Where are you going? I wanna go with you..." Who said anything about my significant other had to be old or male? She happens to be 5 and she happens to be my niece! It is just dinner at a nice restaurant....Believe me, she won't eat or drink herself silly and she is more behaved than most adults. I can almost guess what the outcome of the night will be. She will sit and color at the table and not a peep will be heard. She is so very happy, she just ran up to me and gave me a big hug and on top of all this, she is wearing a DRESS! I know boss 1 will not mind at all because he may be brining his 5 year old son....If he does mind, then I won't plan the party next year....

V A C A T I O N

Hurray! It is official I started my vacation. The stipulation I put on myself was I had to get work completed and off my desk in order to take the next week off without coming in for a few hours here or there...Even though the office is going to be closed. I had so much I needed to get done prior to the new year....You know tax forms and things like that...Normally I cuss like a sailor when I am about ready to go on vacation because time flies when I am trying to get things done and I don't get them done...But this year, I don't think I said one bad word the entire day! In fact, I had several major interruptions, yet still no cussing! This is amazing!!! Anyway, it was a good day even though I started it at 5 a.m. versus 6:30 a.m. I got up early to go into work so I could have a few hours extra today. I ended up getting to work a little over an hour earlier because for some reason, the snooze button kept being pressed.... I did get in early like I mentioned but in order to get things done, I stayed pretty late tonight. I told myself if I did this, I wouldn't have to go in at all next week. This isn't to say I won't be called or paged....I am sure it will happen....It just means I can save on gas and not physically be there! I am so happy but for some strange reason, I am nervous about it too. Why? I don't know for sure but something deep down is bugging me. I sure hope I am wrong with the nagging feeling. Boss 1 knew I had much to do and would be coming in if I didn't get the things I needed done...When he asked me when I would be in, I told him I wouldn't be coming that I got things completed he looked shocked or stoned and totally confused. I really believe he thought I wouldn't get done what I needed to do. The beauty of it was I emailed boss 1 and boss 2 any outstanding things left unopen. For example, I have several quotes out to our factories we rep...If I didn't get a response back I left note stating what to do with the quote when it does come in...Muhahahaha

Well I am pretty tired so I think I will go rest now. Hope everyone had a good day!

Hear Me Roar

I am a tiger. I was born in the month of July. I was a first born. I am a high D personality. If you don’t see me as a high D, it is because you haven’t ever worked with me. I am a fast worker and fast talker. I like to get a problem out on the table, find a solution and move on. If you bring the problem back to me a month later, I am going to ask you, “Why are we discussing this? Haven’t we already talked about this?”

I had to take a psychological test one time and it stated I am direct and decisive. I am strong-willed, strong-minded who like accepting challenges, taking action and getting immediate results.

Why am I talking about this? Because boss 2 is driving me to want to drink! He is just the opposite of me and I have to DEAL with him because he is my boss.

For example: This morning, he came into my office and said he just faxed a quote to a customer. He wasn’t sure if the fax would go through or not and he had to leave for an appointment. I asked him if he wanted me to listen for it and refax it if it didn’t. He stated yes. He gave me the 3 pieces of paper. He then stated only the first 2 sheets would need to be refaxed. He then showed me the last sheet, which was a general email about the products. Then proceed to say he would go ahead and take the last sheet to his desk and leave the 2 sheets, to be faxed on my desk so that I wouldn’t get confused and fax all 3. HELLO! IS ANY BODY HOME? I AM NOT AN IDIOT……Not only can I read the fax states 2 total pages, you explained it to me. These types of examples go on day in and day out. I realize it is because we have totally different personalities but I feel as if he is talking down to me. He must have only worked with idiots in the past. Maybe after he gets used to me, he won’t do this but I seriously doubt it.

And what exactly do I say to this man without sounding petty? I asked him one time if he would like to read my psychological test to better understand me. He said he wanted to find out on his own. I think it may be best if he reads it otherwise I might have to seriously hurt him. I am tiger....

Take a listen!

http://www.andycouch.com/whitetrashxmas/

Very funny!

One of my customers sent it to me. He and I contantly send these types of jokes back and forth!

Panic has set in

I am so STRESSED! I am running around trying to get lose ends tied up before my vacation and everything is coming at me at once! The darn merging of the remaining letters just will NOT cooperate...I want to throw them away!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!

The good news is I just quoted and got a new customer to sign up with one of our new lines....4 thousand dollars is what the order is so I am pretty happy about that....

Still have much to do before I can leave for the day and I am starting to panic!

Wednesday is almost here. I need to wrap gifts. Is everyone excited with the homemade gifts bought or made? Looking forward to visiting!

Pain in the neck!

I can’t move my neck. I called the doctor and he wanted to see me today. He has decided to order me a cervical traction unit. I was also given a few 800 mg of Ibuprofen. This is pure powerful medication! I have taken Advil with this much Ibuprofen before, however this is straight stuff and it helped my neck and shoulder a great deal! I asked the doctor if my neck could hold out another week before they ordered the cervical unit. I said I am going to be meeting my deductible on the 4th of January, could I get the unit first of January to avoid having to pay for a deduction now and then in another week have to pay it again? He said he would hold off ordering it until the first week of January. That stinks because I could use it now, but why pay out all that money twice within a few weeks of each other?? I probably will not even get the darn thing prior to the first of the year anyway! I guess I shouldn’t complain. Those countries that have socialized medication wouldn’t have even been seen this quickly. I was reading online and one gal who needed the same operation I had on my vocal cords had to wait almost 12 months to get her surgery. That is socialized medication at its finest! Now she was happy to have it done when she got it done but I can’t imagine having to wait almost an entire year for a surgery. Think about this the next time you think the US government needs to get involved with healthcare……Think about what you may be giving up….

Nana Decorating

This ginger bread house was one of the prettiest I have seen. Great job Nana!

It was a frosty day

P and M went candy cane hunting this morning. It was very cold! I was sad because I wanted to get my picture taken to but kids got picked first and we ran out of time! {cry}

Update on Violet

On the earlier post this week regarding Violet....What I meant to type and did not write well is I think Violet might need to look for a "bigger" living space. She is just thriving and I am not sure if she likes to be crowded. Right now she is living in a one bedroom economy sized pot and I think she may need a more spacious living area. I in no way want her to leave my apartment complex. I love her and would miss caring for her if she decided to leave permanently. I don't know what I should offer her as I was told her "type" likes to live in smaller homes. Anyone have information they would like to share on the subject?

The low down

I just gave boss 1 the low down about me not being able to talk or whisper for 10 days after my surgery and he said..."How Mercy!" So now boss 1 and boss 2 have to prepare for my silence.....he actually said "We are going to have to prepare for your silence" He then counted the days, which I would be out and the days which they would have to prepare. Very Funny!

Good News At Work

I figured my personal growth for new business for one of the lines I have been working on and I have grown the territory by 86% in sales! That is almost $10 grand in the last 60 days! The sales training classes I have been taking the last 60 days are really paying off!!! I have 15 Cd's of training materials, which I listen to over and over and over and now I am hearing the man who is speaking in my dreams. The very weird part to me is he is dead....Is that weird or what? Told boss 1 the news and he was so happy! I was so happy to because when I came in, he was in a bad mood and his office sits next to mine....

Hope everyone has a good day....My day will surely be a little brighter now!

Does anyone else think this is funny?

This cracks me up....Does anyone else think this is funny?

Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have reportedly called it quits as friends. A source close to Britney says she hasn't been seen with her "new best friend" Hilton since she made that post on her website apologizing to fans for her behavior. The source says: "Britney has been told by her people that if she ever wants a comeback, she has to stay far away from Paris and start acting like an adult." You'd think Britney's kids would've had something to do with her taking it easy, but turns out she's just doing it for her career. Shocking news from the mother of the century. I haven't even seen any shots of Jayden James Federline since his birth. Sure, maybe they're protecting his privacy, but I suspect she misplaced him on one of her daily mayonnaise hunts. Britney probably hasn't seen him for weeks because he's stuck somewhere in the chimney.

Thursday - A pretty good day

Today is a pretty good day. Both boss 1 and boss 2 are still out and in Georgia. They are due back in tonight, which means they will more than likely be in tomorrow. I don't wish them illness of any kind but do want them to rest and relax before coming in......They have had a long training sessions and deserve some R&R before coming back to work. OKAY...It isn't them who needs the fracking rest it is ME darn it! It is ME! I don't want them to come back in!!!!! I have gotten SO MUCH WORK DONE since they have been gone! It has been a little bit of HEAVEN! I finished up on a mail merger for approximately 1000 letters and envelopes. I can just hear boss 2 ask me tomorrow if I did the merging right. I am going to ask him to check every darn one of them.....Then I am going to ask him if he only has worked with twits in the past. Can you tell I am at my wits in with these 2 people?? I seek calm blue ocean...I seek calm blue ocean....

I got 4 new tires today! Whoot! I parked in the wee back of the lot. I guess the reason why the back 2 tires needed replaced is because the roofers where I work have been working on this building for about 6 months. I found a roofing tire in my parking space the other day. I really want to call the building owner and ask him how long the roofing is going to continue. I would ask the roofers but I don't see them but only a few hours every other week. Frustrating!

Well I must be off now! My lunch break is OVER and I must get back to work!

For Weeks

Since blogger upgraded, I haven't been able to post sometimes and many of my photos were never uploaded...after much research I found out I had to sign up again. ARGH!!! I don't like this new blog upgrade. I don't like it one bit but I guess I will either get used to it or not use it. Not using it isn't a choice because I do love blogging. Just give me some time. I will eventually figure it out!

Miss Violet - Needs a new home! She is outgrowing her apartment!

Call The Doctor

Maggie was sick on Sunday. Last evening, all 3 of us came down with the same darn virus so all 3 of us are home today. It is the grossest virus I have had in a very long time. I hope no one else I know gets it. I am especially worried about boss 1 and boss 2 because I did go into work yesterday and today, they are leaving on a flight to Georgia for a few days. It will be awful if they get this virus since they are supposed to be in training for our new product line. It is my hope if they get this, they will get it when they return and not before. Can you imagine being sick on the plane?

That is it for now. I really got to go.

Weekend Over

Wow, I can't believe it is Sunday evening already and my weekend is over. I really haven't done much this weekend but rest. Rest is a good thing! I am not knocking it!

Today I made spiced pecan's for boss 1 birthday. I also made his b-day card. I would take a picture of it and upload it but it seems nothing is uploading on blogger any more. I went to the new Krogers in our neighborhood to get Sprite for my Maggie girl. She was VERY SICK today. She had it coming out both ends. She would just cry. It saddened us all. While I was at Kroger I picked up food to make dinner. Tonight it was a roast with potatoes and carrots. I made way to much veggies. I hope they don't go to waste. The dinner turned out pretty good. It wasn't like I remember how my mom's tasted but I stilled like it.

So what did you do this weekend?

Computer POP

My laptop has caused me much grief over the years. Last evening, I heard a pop and out it went. My brother opened it up and couldn't find anything. He suggested I purchase a new computer. WHAT? NO! I DON'T HAVE $... So I decided to go outside to our money tree and pick some fast cash. ... RIGHT....I asked how much a new mother board would be so he got onto Dell website. After chatting with one of their reps, we find I have a 4 year warranty and the computer has 1 more full year. OMG! Does anyone know how much $ I have picked off that tree to have the other repairs fixed???? I bet it is close to $350.00 - 400.00 and all along, I could have gotten the parts repaired at no cost. My brother is a genius. When he ordered my laptop, he arranged to have an extended warranty as part of the cost, which I didn't know. I am happy he did, of course, but wish I knew it when I spent the extra cash out. Oh well, the good news is I am not going to have to shell out money right now to get a new computer. I will be without it for several weeks while it is being repaired but it is worth it. By the way, my brother states it is best to always have an extended warranty on laptops.....I will always remember this when it comes time to harvest my other money trees and get to purchase a newer model.

Wow...This is amazing

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, malereindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers tillafter they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, hadto be a girl. You should've known...ONLY A woman would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suitall around the world in one night and not get lost.

2 PM Tuesday

Is it Friday yet? Seriously, today is a much better day than yesterday...You wouldn't know that with all the cussing I have done today...I had to do a mail merger for about 500 companies and the printer kept jamming. It would run 1 or 2 envelopes then jam. I am finished with part 1 of the letters and envelopes. Still much to do with them however unfortunately, I am waiting on boss 1 and boss 2. They wanted these letters to go out the first of November. Here it is the first of December and they haven't done what needs to be done in order for me to get it out. Now, I hope they realize I am off the last week of the month or I am going to be very mad! Maybe I should call boss 1 and boss 2...Thing 1 and Thing 2....LOL!

I found a new station on the web I like to listen to. www.pandora.com You type in a band or the name of the artist you like and they play similar types of music within that genre. You can then give the thumbs up or down if you like or don't like the song. It creates a play list. I am hearing some pretty neat stuff. Not the everyday radio play....

Happy Tuesday!

Update on Okay kind of day

Part two:

Spoke with friend Luci tonight. She thinks boss 2 will never ease up. She thinks boss 2 believes me to be dumb and/or worth very little. If boss 2 thinks this, I will never succeed under him. I will always be low paid as this is how he sees me. I never thought of it in this light. I hope she is wrong but I fear she may be more right than wrong on this subject.

I must find new job, which pays me what I was getting paid before and then some.

Okay kind of day

I have had an okay kind of day. First, the accountant came in so I had to work with her and the owner keep asking me questions so I was interrupted a good deal of the morning. Then, owner took me over to pick up my car, which needed oil change and when we got back, we had a very long meeting on a product line. The meeting was good but long. So long I wanted to take a nap but I got passed it and didn’t lie down. Then I went to see chiropractor and he adjusted my upper back and neck. It feels much better now. I was so stiff and I was feeling very stressed out. No reason to feel stressed other than having no money now. The money, which was supposed to be coming to me at the end of the month, well I have a feeling it isn’t coming. Owner said something to me today about money and it didn’t sound like I was going to be getting any, any time soon. I am trying not to worry about it. Other than looking for something else, there isn’t much I can do about it. I have another owner to have to deal with too. I am going to referring to him as “Boss 2”. Boss 2 makes me want to drink heavily. He is a super duper nice guy but he goes over things like a million and a half times. My patience level is pretty much short fused when it comes to that. He called in his computer man and it ended up costing almost a thousand dollars for him to do things I could have done in the same time for pennies. There are many things I don’t know, I will give you that; but there are also many things I do. I realize it is a comfort level but come on; I can download software. I can set up Microsoft Outlook to send and receive emails. Who on this green earth do you think did all this prior to Boss 2 moving in with us? ME darn it! ME and if I had questions, I ask the questions to get the answer! I can set up Outlook almost blindfolded. Do you know how many employees we USED to have where I had to do this for? I have also built the website and know how to copy and move things around. I created it! Okay, sorry for all the ranting. Like I said, I realize it is a learning experience from this man but I hope my brash personality doesn’t go off on him. If he wasn’t so darn nice and likeable, I would have already had him chopped up and spit out. I told old boss “number one” it was a good thing boss 2 was so nice otherwise, boss 2 would have already been told off by me…...Boss 1 agreed. I must hold temper. If I want to continue to work here for another 5 years, I must hold temper. Please pray for my patience and temper to be held.

UPDATE: Thanks mom!

Saturday Shopping

Today, me, my mom, sister in law, niece and aunt went shopping. First stop was Tuesday Morning and then we went to lunch at UNO. We had a little more time so I dragged everyone to T J Maxx. We then said good bye to my aunt Jackie and my mom and Stephenie, Maggie and I headed to Archivers. We were SO TIRED by the time we came home we instantly got into PJ's. The busiest place by far was T J Maxx. Has anyone been to the new one located in Castleton? It is the biggest darn store but there were SO MANY people! It was hard to get through the aisles. We only stayed maybe an hour but it was crazy. The line was so long I thought to myself this may not be worth it but it only took about 15 minutes to get through. So tonight we are all going to relax and watch Elf the movie. We think Elf is pretty darn silly and funny. I am so looking forward to resting. Hope everyone had a good day!
